Thats me off it till February linda,  its been a long time since I felt this bad Frown

P.s I have a new job already! It can only be temporary for me as the hours wont be enough for me. Monday till friday 9-3 but it will bring some money in just now whilst I look for something more suitable. That way I get too keep my redundancy  money from last job to spend on tennis tournaments  Very Happy

Great that you've got a new job, and you have some leeway moneywise to look for what you really want.
Absolutely spend your spare on tennis tournaments! Andy ain't gonna be here forever, as will none of us.

All the best, Angie. ttul x

Do noooot believe you will last til February!  At least you had fun! I did too - went for dinner with one of my besties then drinks at mine. Bed about 2 as I was coooking for the family today - just as well Andy was first on! Steak pies all round and plenty wine to wash it down. They are all away now.  A few more chill out days then back to work Monday. Aussie tennis is what get me up in January! That and making my tennis tourni plans.

Continuing this convo from another thread..

Very Happy No, although their stories are often fascinating. Not just the subjects, but how and why they came to be where they are.  And some of the sculptural detail is remarkable. It all began when I suddenly noticed the Melville Monument in St Andrew Square despite being aware of it for years. The most pretentious statue in the city of a once all-powerful man who is now all but forgotten.  But all this is way off-topic, and doesn't even merit a thread until Andy's statue appears!!

That is incredibly interesting to me, Fiverlings.

I have a keen interest in statues/monuments/buildings and their historical background.

A good example would be the impressive William Wallace statue outside His Majesty's Theatre in Aberdeen. I passed by it mony a time and never gave it a thought.. until the Braveheart movie.

There's so many statues/monuments/cairn/circles in the UK.

I will post my pics of WW and the history behind the statue in Off Topic thread, so as we don't derail Luke's more-than-impressive work in his column.
