The future of British politics

Edinburgh West taken from the SNP by the LibDems.  No surprise there because it was widely predicted that they would build on their gain in Edinburgh Western in the Holyrood elections.

She probably is a good person with good intentions, but the fact is that many believe that she deliberately kept her head under the parapet during the Referendum campaign, knowing that Cameron would probably resign if Remain lost, and if so, she would be a shoo-in.  Whether that's correct or not we'll probably never know unless it comes out in her memoirs or biography, and by that time nobody will probably care anyway.

She was so useless as Home Secretary that I admit my heart sank when I heard she was to become PM.
I had never heard of her as Home Secretary - my bad, as I don't tend to take an interest.  I honestly don't think she has the guile to manipulate.  She was there in a place of circumstance.  I feel a bit sorry for her but she needs to go as she has nothing to offer in terms of the bigger picture.

Labour only 61 off their forecast,  Torys 119 off.

Lots of uber safe Tory seats still to declare.

115 now,  Torys about to overtake in running count

Yes weird how running count works out. Labour surge first then Conservative...  I guess because rural areas take longer to count?

Yup. Got to drive those ballot boxes to the counting location.

Think we need a forecast update.

Cons take Stirling from the SNP by less than 100 votes.

Even worse when they have to bring them from the Western Isles.
