Britain has spoken - Brexit
I thought it was worth opening a thread to discuss the truly vast range of issues that we will now have to confront

Well first of all, let's get the xenophobic, racist and Islamophobic labels out there now in one go so we can move ahead with a measured, open and respectful discussion.

So having saddled us with a referendum that was won by the opposite side using the politics of hate Cameron resigns but will remain as PM until a new leader is elected.
We'll have a new PM by the autumn.
Likelihood of that being BoJo seems quite high at the moment.

Pretty much sums up my feelings.
Never felt so absolutely filled with rage following an electoral result.

What an utter horror show.
I'm in new baby/sleepless night hell right now, but I think I saw a quote this morning from Farage to the effect that 'this was a victory for ordinary decent people'. F*** you, Nigel. Such a sad day.
Britain is now an idiocracy.

Congratulations Joe. Those new baby/sleepless night will pass.
Jeez, is there a decent candidate for PM in the conservative camp?

If so they will have to hide that decency in the campaign!

Bojo the top candidate?
At the moment he seems to be the frontrunner, not that the leadership campaign has officiallly got underway.
David Davies will run for the sake of running. Others will begin actively manoeuvring very soon.
Chris Grayling seems to be positioning himself as some sort of pragmatist at the moment. Not sure if he was on the leadership radar, but I'd say he started manoeuvring last night.

yep, predictable. In the short term it'd be good for rUK to drop the Scottish economic boat anchor, but you'd expect them to be able to entice some businesses back across.
Much depends on if Gove and Boris keep the UK in the free market or not.

Margaret Hodge and Anne Coffey have submitted a no confidence motion in Corbyn. The PLP have to decide whether this motion will be voted on at the Tuesday night meeting.

Congrats, Joe, and enjoy it. They grow up very quickly!
Agree with your other comments wholeheartedly. Farage would seem to be implying that those who voted remain and the rest of Europe are somehow not ordinary and decent. Utter knob jockey.
