The future of British politics

No, you really DON'T get it. lol

No I don't.    Not your version.   Perhaps you could explain in words of no more than two syllables.

I think you misunderstand where I'm coming from. I genuinely want to understand your position. So please don't be condescending.

Whataboutery is where you defend your position by saying "but what about...". I'm not trying to defend anything/anyone.

You appeared to be defending May's position.    If we are being sensitive about condescending posts, I will now say I found your offer of 3 choices for me to consider as "morally superior" to be somewhat condescending.   There wasn't really much to understand in my position, it having developed from an off the cuff remark about a highly hypothetical position.

You're quite a spiky individual, aren't you? lol

I can't argue with that, Joe.    Rolling Eyes

I was honestly asking what you felt. I meant "morally superior" just as a phrase roughly with the opposite meaning to "lacking in integrity".
You said you found May staying to be lacking in integrity, so I was asking which of the 3 possibilities would be better.
I get now that it was an off-the-cuff remark without much thought having gone into it, but was I so terrible for asking? I wasn't looking to attack you!

Apologies, Yamor.     See Joe's post and my reply.

Interesting question and answers -

"Reality Check: How long will Theresa May's majority last?"

A new Survation poll is out today. Survation got the general election vote share absolutely bang on, and have shown Labour with reasonable leads in the las few weeks. This week however, the Tories are back in front, on 41% with Labour back on 40%. This is pretty close to the actual election result.

I find this completely staggering. The Greenfel fire, Brexit chaos etc. and yet May's ship of numpties is still leading. Time to acknowledge that Corbyn remains an electoral liability?

Has anyone else noticed how things on the terrorist front have quieted since the election. Hopefully it is going to stay that way. It was odd how they disrupted the campaigning. Coincidence?

Or are Corbyn's own numpties taking the edge off?  - McDonut's stupid talk, Abbot back.

Still, its a phenomenally rosy picture for Labour compared to anything I thought likely till 10pm on June 8th.

I suspect it's a combination of the toxicity of Abbot and McDonut combined with the fact that Corbyn himself is pretty toxic with the older generation.

Just as many of us feared.  How much longer are we going to have to put up with the stupidity and incompetence  of this woman?

"Northern Ireland parties fail to strike power-sharing deal, talks to continue"

Sinn Fein blamed the impasse on British Prime Minister Theresa May, who struck a separate deal last week with the DUP to support her minority government in the British parliament - something they say has compromised the government's neutrality.

"What this constitutes is a monumental failure on behalf of Theresa May. She has set back decades of work that has been done here throughout the years," said Sinn Fein's Northern Ireland leader, Michelle O'Neill.

Interesting juxtaposition, Aileen, with Neverham's comment that ""Britain hates triumphalism".   It was rampant in N.I. for years and could raise its ugly head again thanks to May.
