The future of British politics

Quote

It was rampant in N.I. for years and could raise its ugly head again thanks to May.

Pretty rampant in Scotland in recent times as well. All came to a screeching halt on June the 8th thankfully.

Just as many of us feared.  How much longer are we going to have to put up with the stupidity and incompetence  of this woman?

Hm. I don't see how May has much to do with SF and the DUP failing to agree. They were failing to agree before the election, primarily because SF were making demands (Foster to step down, Irish language act excluding Ulster Scots) that the DUP could never agree to.

Still, May's a useful scapegoat for them.

Oh that's a pity.    I did so enjoy those marches, especially in a strong Labour area.

  Britain hates triumphalism. Remember Kinnock.

'We're allllriiiiite!'

Though studies after suggested it wasn't that which cost Labour the election.

Bwahaha. It turns out that the cretin behind Skwawkbox - the deplorable Corbynite fake news site - is actually a successful CEO who sells private services to the NHS. The Cult are not going to be pleased. lol

The SF and DUP have been like this for as long as I can remember.

It's a hideous looking structure anyway.

I know, but we could have done without May aggravating the problem just to satisfy her own personal ambition.

Everyone keeps saying that, but the Tories would have looked to make a deal with the DUP with May as leader or without her.

Yeh, though she didn't need to refer to them as 'friends and allies' prior to the deal. I actually think (based on no evidence) that she got a bit confused with the ulster unionists

What the hell are you on about now.  There was Tory triumphalism for about a day and a half but that ground to a halt after Mundells promise on Barnett consequentials from the DUP deal crashed and burned.

Quite possibly given how woolly she seems to be about a lot of things

I read that the government are about to unleash a positive publicity drive pro Brexit which is to make us all feel optimistic about it. I would welcome some more information about what it is all going to mean especially for the young people who voted against it. There seems to be a strange reluctance to offer any vision or comfort at the moment. France and Germany have both said we can stay in EU and at the moment I think we all see no good reason to leave.

The only good reason to leave is that a majority voted to leave.
