Yes it is sung after a Burns Supper. It gets sung at the end of each performance of the Tattoo as well. It's sung in other parts of the UK as well as in the USA and Canada, although the constant pronouncing of Syne as Zyne really irritates me!

They do often say it "Zyne" don't they!
There wouldn't have been a Tattoo this year or the Edinburgh Festival?
I have to log off now the phone's nearly out of charge

No Tattoo and no Festival, which was a severe blow to the local economy. They might not be able to have them in 2021 either, particularly as both take a very long time to organise.

Sorry you don't think you'll have the Tattoo or the Festival this year
The Spring Flower Show and the Great Yorkshire Show and the Autumn Flower Show were all cancelled here in Harrogate in 2020, I hope we'll have them back this year, although the Spring Flower Show might be in doubt, as it's held in April.

You have to have 6 months left on your passport (except for trips to Ireland)
You have to have travel insurance with health cover
The guarantee of free roaming will end, you should check with your mobile provider
You need an animal health certificate (for your animal) 10 days before you/it travels
There will be separate lanes for UK travellers, from EU, EEA and Swiss citizens at border controls
Non-EU countries not allowed to go to the EU except for a number of essential reasons (because of the pandemic)
There are other things within the 7 - but these are the ones which are mentioned first

I know the EHIC card gave us basic health cover in the EU but weren’t we always advised to take out travel health insurance anyway?
I suppose time will tell how we get on with all the changes.

There's a
replacement for the EHIC called the GHIC
included in the Brexit deal.
And yes, you're supposed to have travel insurance as well as an EHIC/GHIC anyway.

Well here's hoping that the English population can see in the near future that Brexit is a disaster and that Boris Johnson has been lying to them all along. They will soon find out when food prices and that the cost of many products go up in price.
It is good to see that the devolved parliaments are making their own decisions and not being let by Boris Johnson who makes a decision and then changes his mind again 5 minutes later.
You can see who Boris takes after he's just like his father who has decided to apply for a French passport jumping the sinking ship that is led by his idiot son. At least he can do that, unlike many British citizens who are left to get on with his stupidity and rising living costs.
Roll on the Scottish Parliament Elections then hopefully we will be rid of the Tories who are led by a part-time leader who seems to think it is more important to be a linesman at a football match than be the Tory leader at the Scottish Parliament. Does he not realise that he is keeping Ruthie from her seat in the House of Lords and all the money she will be making for just showing up.
Never mind hopefully he and Ruthie will be gone and we will have a bigger majority SNP Scottish Government.

I hope Brexit is a success. As do most people. Why would't we? It's happened, and to hope it's a failure is to wish for the country to be damaged.

Food prices are unlikely to go up in any meaningful way. Ditto other products: most come from outside of Europe anyway.

Stanley Johnson voted to remain.

Douglass Ross isn't an MSP, and therefore can't sit in Holyrood.

Ah yes, a bigger SNP majority. Just what Scotland needs! That's sure to fix the failing education system, failing policing, failing NHS, failing drug policy, failing transport policy...

I hope Brexit will be a success too. I voted for Brexit so it'd be very strange if I wished it to fail. I'd have thought all right-thinking people would hope for its success.

Oh dear! Maybe I should be miserable and fearful instead of happy and secure. But there's always a silver lining. We're not 100% at the mercy of Bumbling Boris. So much to be thankful for.
