The Movies

Me too, but I cried more reading the book when Dobby and Dumbledore died than I did in with the films, still haven't seen the last one yet, I'm going to wait a couple of weeks until it's a bit quieter.

The books are always better than the films [for me], but I like the films too! Quite happy to wait for the DVD though!

Saw the last HP on Sunday night with my parents Smile Really enjoyed it, though didn't cry, Dobby dying last film was worse. Now going to re-read the book Smile

Blue Valentine... found it really depressing, probably because it's quite realistic of a lot of marriages Frown

Ok, honest question because I'm pretty sure I asked James this too.

Who did you sympathise more with?

Ryan Gosling... he agreed to bring up a kid that wasn't his and never ever went back on his word.

You not?

He put in a brilliant performance btw, really genuine.

Honestly, I remember feeling worse for Michelle Williams. Not that I'm saying his performance wasn't great - it was, but I also feel like he plays the hopeless romantic in about every single ******* film.

I'd explain to you more about why I felt worse for her character, but I don't want to ruin the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

He really does but his character deserves more recognition than that in this film.

Use spoiler tags, sexface.

Spoiler:
Can you read this?

Got it, yo.

Spoiler:
I just felt like Dean was pushing too much. It was obvious that Cindy wanted to grow and branch out, probably because they got so serious so quickly and I saw Dean as sort of stifling her. When she called him a child (at some point, I think she did), I couldn't help but agree with that. He was quite content with whatever was in front of him and for that, I couldn't sympathise. I think it was admirable for him to take care of a child that wasn't his but the way he went about trying to salvage the relationship lessened that in my eyes.

Yooooooooooooo!

Spoiler:
I thought Cindy was very selfish in her reaction to seeing Bobby when she was buying alcohol on the way to the motel with Dean. I didn't expect her to tell Dean that she had seen him but she should have just forgotten about it completely and given her husband a chance. To me it was like she had once loved Dean and she never loved Bobby but she was still being sidetracked by him. Do you think Dean loved Cindy more than she loved him?

Spoiler:
Yeah, I think by the end, he did love her more. I also think on his part, he was trying to make things stay the same and that's how he thought the relationship would be fixed. I think it would have been worse if she hadn't brought seeing him up, it would have looked worse on her part. It was kind of a lose/lose situation for her.

I cannot believe Aaron Johnson, the guy who plays the lead role in Kick-Ass, is married with kids to a 44 year old. He is so so cute, now I'm weirded out.   Think
