Well that's blown the show out of the water... hmmm.... where now, I wonder?

^ Don't you think they were being tongue in cheek? You know the way, even in 2020,  people see a white middle aged bloke in the room and always assume he's the boss. It was just pointing out how misguided/old fashioned that can be,
I've heard Ryan has been offered a part elsewhere, so hopefully he'll be moved out. I suppose it would be role reversal if a young female Doctor has an elderly male assistant.

I get what Chibnall was doing, I just think we already had that with Stephen Fry’s character a few episodes ago, and I also feel that you-know-who would recognise the Doctor regardless of gender.

There was speculation that Tosin Cole was leaving based on the sheer number of conventions he’s been booked in for this year. Now there’s the film he’s been announced in. Mandip Gill has been cast in something else too.

How do you feel about it? I’m intrigued, wondering if Ruth is going to be back this series given Jo Martin was/is busy on something else from July to at least December, not clear if she’s still on that though.

I like they are taking risks now to be honest, feels more calculated and well planned than some of Moffat's did.

I'm excited to see where it goes.

'The Haunting of Villa Diodati' was probably easily the best of this series, and one of the top 3 best of Jodie's era.

Absolutely magnificent re-vitalisation of the Cybermen - and set up to what looks like a rollercoaster epic finale.

The current lockdown situation has had me watching old ‘French and Saunders’ shows.  I’d forgotten how funny they were.  Timeless...

Watched ‘Ratched’ the other night.  Brilliant!

Perhaps I'm easily amused, but I found the new Spitting Image to be genuinely quite funny.

^ is it only available on Britbox?  Used to love it in the 80s!

Yeah it's a Britbox exclusive, no word on whether ITV will run it at any point either.

Gosh - you could be paying for all these extra streaming services ad nauseum.  Rolling Eyes

Came across the new Spitting Image on ITV.  Not sure if it’s just me, but not enjoying it and not finding it very funny, given what we’re currently living through.  Will find something else to watch.

I've only seen clips of it.  I sometimes think reviving an old format doesn't work.  In the 80s it was original and edgy compared to other shows.  Now not so much.

I agree.  Had it’s day.  Now not so appropriate or funny. Frown
