I see Bill Barr has said there was no fraud in the election. This is a huge blow to Trumps team.
It certainly is.
What's the betting that Barr will be the next person to feel Trump's wrath?

Thank goodness! How many more recounts does Trump want?

^ That's shocking! Trump seems hell bent in abusing his authority as much as he can in his last days in office. *
It's interesting though that Biden seems to have done a complete U-turn on the death penalty since 1994. I wonder what made him change his mind? Pandering to a shift in public opinion perhaps?
Also I've never understood why convicted criminals are kept waiting on death row, sometimes for years. If the US must have a death sentence, then why not implement it as soon as possible - unless the waiting is part of the punishment, on a psychological level that is.
* PS - The first of the five executions has just taken place -

I see that the latest execution would not have happened if the prosecutors had produced all the evidence they had. Perhaps it was because he was black!

I wouldn't like to hazard a guess on that, but he does sound a good case for abolishing the death penalty.

^ Yes, I read about that. Quite something when members of your own party vote against you, although it's obvious why, silly man. At least he finally signed the Covid Relief Bill, something else he threatened not to do.
PS - I think Melania could do with some fashion advice because that coat looks about three sizes too big for her!

And now there have been massive protests outside the Capitol with several protestors managing to get inside as lawmakers move toward certifying Biden’s victory.
In fact latest reports are that the Capitol is under complete lockdown as the mayhem continues.... and both chambers of Congress have gone into recess for their own safety.
The mayor of DC, Muriel Bowser, has announced a citywide curfew from 6pm tonight until 6am tomorrow while there are reports that the National Guard have been brought in.
What happened to democracy and law and order?

Trump is what happened he should be arrested and charged with exciting civil disobedience. He is the cause of all the trouble allowing his supporters to go on the streets and cause all this mayhem.
I hope when he is out of office that the authorities charge him as he should not be allowed to cause such behaviour he should be put in jail maybe it would teach him to have some humility.

I doubt anything would teach Trump humility but I think he could be impeached over all this plus his fraudulent attempts to overturn the vote in Georgia.

Well, it's taken four years, but this is a fitting denouement to Marks eager support of Trump back in 2016.
