I think Trump was the first nominee to outreach to the LGBT community at a Republican convention. I'd really like to think that means something but let's wait and see?

Trump has consistently been against LGBT rights. He seems to be on the same page as Pence with this.

Only time will tell that Elly, but let's just say I certainly don't agree with everything he's said, and that his exclusion policies are one of them.

There are a lot of worried individuals who will have no power in their lives, other than to "wait and see."

Precisely. That positions boils down to "oh, maybe he won't actually be that bad" based on no evidence whatsoever. Maybe he will, but it's a pretty bloody big gamble, isn't it? And for what?

Maybe Mark thinks Trump will crash the global economy, ushering in a new age where UBI is available to all?

For a start, I do believe that underneath it all he is a human being, and also I would sincerely hope that he back-peddles on the worst of his excesses, including that of exclusion.
