US Presidential Race 2008

Quote

I don't have any base for it apart from all the things I read about republicans, so they are usually pro-war and I get the feeling pro-torture as well.

Torture and imprisonment for over five years is anything but rational.

Nope - your interpretation of my answers is designed to lead the general community in the direction you wish to take them - seems like up the garden path.

Well you could easily stop this leading and say who it is (if anyone) that you support.....

If it's not a leader you are ashamed of then why be afraid to admit it? Tommy supports the conservatives 100%, and as much as I have no respect for their party, I have respect for him for being open about it, and not just going with the majority.

I don't think anyone denies that apart from the neo-cons.

I supported Obama when I made this thread and I support him now... McCain is just going to end up being another warmonger.

I'll be glad when it's all over - been going on for what seems like years!  Had the elections in Oz last year and we have elections here in NZ this year yawn

I liked his charisma until I saw the photo where he was in a Muslim outfit. Nobody who doesn't support the Islam would be caught dead wearing it. Could have some nasty consequences for America. I wanted Hilary to proceed.

A joke right? I don't think you're capable of saying such an ignorant thing.

I don't think someone who has bounds with Muslim communities should be the leader of a *free* country.

He's not a Muslim so it doesn't matter and I'm not going to lower myself to continue an argument on his worthiness for presidency based on clothing he has once worn. Pathetic.

How do you know he's not a Muslim? Like I said, if you don't support Islam, you would never wear such clothing.

I find it very interesting how some people shut down the minute religion gets brought in. They can say all they want, but he was expressing religion in those photos.

Surely the basis of leadership of a *free* country is to have links with all the different major communities within it?

But this isn't just a 'link', I think it's more than that. The majority in America isn't Muslim, therefore the leader shouldn't be either as it's such a repressing religion.
