HELL NO!
he will either go down wih injuries on clay because let's face it Murray is nothing but a hard court specilaist who has yet to beat the likes of Nadal,Federer,Djokovic and roddick off hard courts
He won't be able to drop shots his opponents all day long the way he does on hard court and let's face it,there are 100 more players who can trash him on clay
He sure as hell won't make the Quarters in Paris, not gonna happen if he faces an in-form Nalbandian for example who will take Murray's arrogance down a notch or 10
I hope he gets a bum ankle
Nadal will trash Murray until there is no tomorrow and I'll sit back back and enjoy every minute of it
He beat roddick at wimbledon didnt he??

I for one am not entering into any kind of argument with a biased tosser like this. There is nothing arrogant about Andy and he'll work hard to improve his game on clay - I just wish him the best of luck.

Sorry, Joe, forgot to congratulate you on your excellent piece - unbiased, factual and objective - just what is always seen on this website. I too am looking forward to seeing how Andy improves on this surface, it is exciting to contemplate.

Fredy, a drop shot is a more valid tactic on clay as the shot will stick to the surface.

He beat Roddick on grass, genius. He'd hammer him on clay, too. Same goes for Djokovic on grass.

I think Andy will show much improved form on clay, but still won't quite be there with the big boys.
Maybe one SF, two QFs and one early exit from his clay season this year. Something like that, anyway. Could be better though - a final would be very nice.

I think last years match against Almagro at the French is a decent barometer, Murray was really good that day but Almagro had just a bit too much from the bassline and with his serve. Nowadays I think Murray would absolutely crush him on clay because he all round game has improved so much.
All the other clay specialists like Robredo and Gonzalez just dont have the all round game to trouble Murray, the only people aside from Nadal who could really trouble him and Nalbo, Nole and Davydenko. I even think he'd have del Potro's number on clay.

Why shouldn,t Andy do well on clay?....Nadal who took a while to play well on all surfaces and eventually did. Andy will follow as well.....Just takes time.

Murray is nothing but a hard court specialist like James Blake who has yet to win a title off anything but hard courts
clay will expose Murray for the arrogant hard court specialist punk that he is
when the rest of the top-20 of men's tennis are all around playing well;Murray will try to drop shot his opponents off all day but he'll find it hard to win anything
he'll either injure himself which I hope happens or he'll lose badly
