They tried again yesterday. I think they'll give up soon enough as my response requires minimal effort and yet is very effective but I suspect the effort to circumvent would require quite a bit more effort.  By the way, they have not been successful at all in their endeavours.
At least that's good to know, particularly as you look after this forum so well.

Are you referring to the backup period of around 4-5am? The way it works now should allow for browsing the forum but instead might cause the act of posting to take a while.

I could be wrong, but, based on experiences with some large high profile organisations, I don't think any website can realistically be expected to work at 100% all the time.

It could be the backup at around 4-5am but I can't be absolutely sure  shocking  I can't remember (!!)  shocking if it was possible to browse the forum at that time, but posting is often slow - but not always slow ......
But really it was all right this morning - it was more yesterday when it was very slow at around 2:00am or 3:00am if I remember right.
I do like to be online very early you know! Smile

Aileen, a few years ago I enabled quite a powerful Cloudflare feature called Railgun which basically helps with speed. Back then you noticed it caused sporadic 523 errors when submitting a post. Quite a bit of time has passed allowing for the feature to mature so I'm wondering if things would be different now.

So I'm going to enable it again to find out as it involves no effort. Slight difference this time is I've disabled it for reply page (not sure if that also applies to 'Quick Reply').

Please let me know if you (or anyone else) notice those issues again and I'll just disable it.
