Yes Elly we are enjoying being close to our daughter and little grandson (the other three are all grown up and just as lovely). Dartmoor will always be our real home but my mobility scooter takes me for long walks along the Prom above the lovely sands and up onto the headlands with Os who benefits from the walks. Wales is a lovely place to explore too. Haven’t had much time to post lately but hopefully things will calm down a bit now.

Obviously very positive responses, just watching the replay now. We recently moved to Wales to be close to one of our daughters and it has been a very busy time but it is lovely to see Andy making this kind of progress, long may it last. All good wishes to all my friends on Murray’s World.

Well said, Aileen. Through Andy's ups and downs I too formed a deep interest in the tennis world and have gained much pleasure in watching the tournaments, something I will continue to do in the coming years. Andy and his family will always be of great interest to me and Jamie, of course, will continue to provide doubles interest for years to come. We will wait and see what happens, hope Murrays World can keep going, made a few friends on here.

I had hoped this wasn’t going to happen but felt it had to be the outcome after his hip operation. I really hope he finds a place at the top of the tennis scene to help up and coming young tennis players. I, too, have been a fan for many years and wish him the very best for the future. ‘Andy, we love you for the super man you are as well as the exceptional tennis player, please allow us news of yourself and your family from time to time, we will always be fans. Hope the pain ends soon and a bright and fulfilling future emerges from the tears.’

Thanks for the excellent report, Joe. You’re quite right, of course, this kind of scheduling is ridiculous and it may be sensible for Andy to withdraw. Why is it necessary anyway. I watched the match in snatches and was so encouraged by Andy’s overall attitude and the courageous fight he put up against an excellent player.

Agreed St E but he’s trying. Caz, sorry you can’t watch. In a way it’s a bit frustrating knowing he can play without so many errors and misses but there are so many signs of Andy world No. 1 quality, and all his skills. Kyle is playing well and is an excellent opponent.

How super to hear Andy’s voice, commentating with Tim on the Rafa/del. Potro game. In case anyone didn’t see his article it seems he will play in Washington at the end of July.

lol "To play or not to play, that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the serves and forehands of outrageous players, Or to pick up my racquet and by good defending and magical shots beat them?"
Indeed! Well done Aileen.
