Andy must be so disappointed at having to withdraw and it brings into great doubt his fitness for the Australian Open. We have all been looking forward to watching him play again, but I wish him the very best for a speedy return to tennis. It isn’t the same without him.

It was a tight match but Rafa was very off form and making unusual mistakes. Goffin played well despite a few nerves, in the third set it seemed obvious to me that Rafa was having problems.

It’s good to see him play tennis again. To me he always walks a bit awkwardly and I can’t really tell whether he’s still showing signs of problems but no doubt the experts will be spouting on about it soon enough.

Well, unfortunately, he didn’t, although he took Fed to three sets. I watched because of del PO, lovely guy and I so wanted him to win, so I put up with Barry Cowan’s Sickly Fed worship.

I’ve never seen Alexander Zverev play so badly, there must have been something wrong with him, Tzonga goes through to Semis. But Kyle played perfectly, well done.

Just seen your post, Elly and all fingers and toes are crossed for a good result. When you and I first started posting on here we had no thought of our future ailments, but we're still here! Since then I have acquired a mobility scooter and a pace maker but these are minor problems compared to what you have been through. God Bless.

Watched Kyle play a super match against Ferrer this lunchtime which he won in straight sets. Ferrer was not on form but nevertheless there was some super tennis from Kyle to achieve this win, he improves every time I watch him.
