There's no way Andy is going to hover in the top 20 for a couple of years.  He'll be back in the top 10 this year.  He's got the talent all he needs is the consistency.

I agree with Senga and Mark completely and, even if he loses against Nadal, it will be a super match if he gets there next week and one, I'm sure he can be proud of. Nadal seems to bring out the best in him somehow.

Oh how I hope you are right! That is my root belief in Andy certainly but his attitude sometimes gets you thinking the opposite. Is he a spoilt petulant teenager or someone who manages to put his foot in it when he opens his mouth and is mis-understood. Not everyone can be sqeaky clean an' wholesome like Novac - Andy is not a clean-cut sunny personality like his brother, he's - well he's Andy and I don't doubt his dedication and determination - he does, indeed, need our SUPPORT and he'll certainly get mine.

Have just found out that he will probably be playing Rafa in the third round if he gets through the first two.  Surely he won't be condemned for losing that one - no-one seems to beat him at the moment. It will help him immensely if he gets that far and has a repeat of last year's Aussie Open match with Nadal - that was a corker!!

Sounds as if you're all giving up on him. Everything he says and does just at the moment seems to bring negative criticism - he's 20 years old for heavens sake - of course he wants to be the best - until his wrist injury he was well on the way. This last year his confidence for one has taken a tumble - is anyone beating Nadal on clay at the moment? I haven't seen to many successes against him - even the great Novac doesn't make much impression. I can understand him not wanting to continue if he is just going to remain on the fringe of the best - he wants to be up there competing successfully against the best. Novac and Rafa are early at their best - not everyone is made that way - give him a chance!  Or am I just an old optimist!!!

From Janscribe to Mark re my first posting: Thank you for your response but actually it wasn't my first visit - I have been many times as a guest and I believe an e-mail invited me to join, so Iwas very surprised to see all the bad language. That was it really - shock at the futility of it all when I had wanted a few other opinions on a disappointing match. I will drop in again if I'm welcome but please forgive an elderly lady whose knowledge of English goes beyond the f---- word.  

Sorry, guys, was thinking of joining you but - I know it's disappointing - he's having a real bad patch - I think I'll go back to the official nsite community - don't see the need for all the f...ing.
