3BP's for the match!

Got the break back at the third time of asking - Now 5-5 in the 2nd set.

Whew!

I see Jamie has been knocked out 6-4, 7-5.

Hope Andy wakes up and doesn't follow him to the exit! 

Maybe he just want's more practice on court...

I see Jamie is playing doubles at the same time - he and J Peers have lost the first set 6-4

Got the break straight back though! -> 1-1 in 2nd set.

Another couple of quick games - and the set 6-1 goes to Andy (got it on the 2nd BP)

That was quick -> 4-1 Andy - still with the double break.

Just noted - that game was 19mins long and had 11 deuces - what a marathon!

Some hold from Andy! - how long was that game?

I watched most of the second and third sets before I had to go to work (from one set and 1-0 up to 5-3 in the final set).  Brilliant tennis in the second set and easily good enough in the third at least on serve.  I think Soeda cranked it up a bit in the third with a "nothing to lose" mentality coming through.

Good to get off court as soon as possible though.

Hope to see some of the next match as well.

The extra points Kei has gifted him are very welcome though. 

True but at least Andy got there anyway without the extra gifted points.  I wasn't sure at all about Andy on this match so did think he would need to take it to 3 sets.  I nearly gave up at 6-2, 0-2 down but stuck with it (albeit on the iPod Touch App) to the end.  Many of the rallies must have been long and hard-going as it seemed to take ages to update.  Glad he got one better that a R16 match last year but not at all sure about the Berdych one - heart says Andy in 3 but head says Berdych in 2.. 

She'll play again on Wed at earliest - her opponents still have to play which will be later today.  (Ivanovic -SRB/Scheepers - RSA) ->  3rd match on Stadium 3 after 3pm local time.
