Is this a guess on your part, or did Federer and/or Wawrinka actually say this?

Fabulous, fabulous Nadal!

Does anyone know what the celebration ceremony was all about between Federer and Wawrinka?  Some new version of Pat-a-cake?

Apart from the rights and wrongs of this particular issue, there's perhaps a little bad blood between the two of them.  Also, I'm sure Blake thought it was going to be a stroll in the park, beating Gonzo, after downing Federer!

So, what will happen to Gonzo now - nothing?  What about the 'locker room' aspect?  Is there any chance, in his fully adrenalised state, he could not have known what happened?

Ditto all of that.

I wonder if he is feeling the pressure of being Number 6 ??

Roddick also had a bad day yesterday when he came up against del Potro who was playing 'Lights Out' tennis.  I suspect Roddick had been hoping for a clear field with everyone away playing in the Olympics - apart from del Potro's sublime tennis, Roddick was certainly putting pressure on himself - maybe Murray was doing the same thing.

Well, that's a sad and sorry state of affairs.

However, there is no doubt in my mind that the Chinese have a huge advantage inasmuch as they are playing in their own well-accustomed polluted and sopping-wet-with-humidity back yard.

I think they will have an advantage in many areas - not just tennis.

Had to laugh. The Chinese spent $42 billion  AND rain stopped play (tennis).

Thank you for the info.

Anyone know what the tennis TV schedule is?

Ditto that.  Bottom line - who cares so long as he is winning.

Who's in charge of the "Drama Queen" badges then?

What an hilarious thread.  How to get from tennis to nationalism in one page.

Congratulations to Murray on his win and many thanks to Sir Panda for all the great reporting - it is so unbiased and accurate, it is a joy to read.  Unlike the dire commentary provided by SKY during the match yesterday.  I think they should ban Mark Petchey from gushing all over Murray matches and move Barry Cowan to ice skating.

Previously when top players were being discussed, his name was always thrown in the mix by the BBC pundits. Now they can barely bring themselves to mention his name. I think they have finally accepted that Murray isn't going to turn into the player they had hoped.

At the Artois Final yesterday his name was mentioned by John Lloyd when he said that he did not believe that Andy could beat any of the top three players at Wimbledon - at least not this year.
