Looks over to the harbour but whether I get a good view of all the water or not depends on whether I'm going to end up in on 4th or 7th floor... I've put down the reservation deposit so there should be no turning back now... which flat I get depends on how much my parents want to help. Should know within a week.

Sounds really really lovely.  Which would you prefer 4th or 7th floor?  What state is the decor in?

Very Happy
There are goats that you can feed and stroke and the fence around it is low, you can hop over Smile

Uhmm ... I just got confused when you said goats but showed a picture of sheep Very Happy

So, this flat that you are interested in ... what kind of view will you have?

There is like no one watching over these animals so when it gets late at night, I'm going to go in with them! I want to sleep with the goats!

I saw some girls learning to horse ride around that area, so surreal Smile

That's exactly the word I was thinking ... surreal.

Don't know about sleeping with goats - those are sheep aren't they lol

Anyway, I need to shoot off to Glasgow now to check in.

You're just stressed James.  Take care out there and have a great time Smile

Daisy, I really wish you would stop posting articles from that rag. 'Labour's reckless borrowing binge' is in quotation marks, and yet, if you look at the piece, not one person states that in the article as a direct quote. Agenda driven boll**ks. I'm no Labour supporter but it's far too easy to pin the recession solely on them.

Okay ... no problem.  I'll remove it. But I'm assuming that you are asking everyone else (quite a number) who posts articles from that rag to also desist, or is it just me that is being targeted?

Obviously I didn't pay any attention to the headline and thought the other adults would do the same, but I did think the content might be worthwhile.  My mistake.

My hubby has a private pension that they keep upping the age on for him to receive Rolling Eyes  Perhaps if they didn't send as much money to overseas aid, they might be able to put it in the pensions instead, you know, help the people in their own country. dontknow

The whole pension thing is a nightmare.  Boomers are cashing in and everyone is living longer and there's not enough money in the pot.  Really think those about to enter the workplace should forget about receiving State Pensions (if they're even thinking about it) and make provision for themselves asap.

Just wishful thinking, Daisy

Ahhhh   hug  It's a great bit of wishful thinking though Smile

If only the Scottish independence issue were to be opened to ALL native born Scots wherever domiciled

That would never fly and is surely unrealistic, unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying?

Ah ok, so no point debating anything at all in future then unless something can be done about it directly? No point questioning our politicians and the goings-on in our country or around the world because we can't really do much about it, apart from going to the ballot box every few years to vote in the next lot of weasels buried in Murdoch's pocket.

Mark, close down Murrays World. There's nothing we can do for Andy so little point discussing him or his career.

I don't view things the same way you do.  I'm only going to get involved with something if I can effect a positive outcome.  I'm not going to lose any sleep over something I have no control over.  Just a different way of doing things - doesn't mean either one of us is wrong.

Eyebrow raise. I wasn't whining, I was commenting on the current state of affairs, distinct difference. Don't treat me as though I am some thick child Daisy who doesn't know what she's talking about. Attacking my views just because they're mine only shows your own insecurities.

And now you are resorting to nasty personal comments, as per usual.

If you read the post it states "no point in whining about it" which does not refer to anyone.  My post was independent of anyone else's post, it was not a response.

You, as usual, are just looking for an excuse to attack me.

Julia's all standoffish on MW, but on the phone and in person, she always sings Mariah Carey's 'I Can't Live if Living is Without You' to me. love

Think you said you're doing a degree in Marketing.  Just purrrrrrfect for you I'd think.  Your self promo is the greatest Very Happy:

Criminal activity abounds - e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e.  Corruption abounds - e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e.  Politicians lie all the time - they wouldn't be politicians if they didn't.  Everyone has to deal with it - that's the way it is.  No point in whining about it - just get on with it, unless of course there is something you can do to actually make a difference.

Oh dear...

It kind of is an "oh dear" isn't it ...

But why is it naive? It's not singling the US out, it's choosing a country to make a comparison with. We could say Nigeria or Pakistan, but I'd like to think we're not THAT bad yet! lol

I was going to suggest Nigeria ... why not Very Happy
