Perhaps there should be a 5th set tie break, but at 10-10 or something instead of 6-6. The winner will get crushed in rd 2 which seems unfair.
I think that would be a mistake as it would downplay the achievement these guys have managed.

To save your serve 55 times in a row to stay in the match is beyond freaky, even if you had the best serve of all time and Mahut doesn't, which makes it even more unbelievable.

I think they probably will change to a tiebreak 5th set, but they should wait a few years at least before doing it and not have a knee-jerk reaction.

The reason why every Tennis player around Wimbledon were enthralled in the match is because Mahut's mental intensity to have to stay in the match was from another planet.

I don't know how many point Mahut played on his serve from 4-5, but your talking at least 300+ points on his serve knowing if he makes one blunder, a double fault, an unforced error or whatever, he's gonna have Isner jumping all over a 2nd serve should he get the opportunity.

Just amazing from Mahut, and to still be as fresh physically too, with all of that mental pressure, just fantastic.

Big ups to Mahut. Legend!

On what court and at what time do you think this match will continue?
Should keep it at court 18, but then give them both a joint visit wi the Queen afterwards as well as lifetime memberships to the All England.

Having to serve to stay in the match 55 times and succeed each time, beyond any statistical probability.

650 winners, almost 200 aces, 10 hours play.

Wouldn't even happen 1 time in 100,000.

And it's for a win in Round 1.

Brilliant tenacity and commitment from both players.

Just cancel the rest of the tournament and give them the title.

The worst thing you can do is get on the wrong side of the media lol

When Andy is on the right side of the media you can let me know lol

I say that because if he's Wimbledon champion, he'll become a megastar with, or without their compliance.

Andy should just completely blank the UK media until the end of his career.

They've done nothing for him, in fact they've dogged his career.

The best thing Andy can do for himself is get some of these Tennis journalists the sack as payback for the crap he's had to take from them.

Apart from official press conferences he should never give any interviews and only announce through twitter or his website.

Laura played great. She has a great temprement just needs to work on her movement, 2nd serve and BH everything else is wonderful.

Robson played very well but her side-to-side movement, in fact her general anticipation is way below what you'd expect from a Tennis player.

I'd have thought Robson would have played 10000s of hours on the practice court and that kind of court canny-ness is something you develop very naturally.

Her shotmaking is fantastic but the movement is way below what you'd expect.

She's almost a kind of a wind-tunnel player.

Parkinson's law of psychology, Psychological problems increase to occupy the total amount of psychologists.

Good on Andy!

There is no psychological coaching manual for what to do when you're match point up in a Wimbledon final.

I used to sympathise with Greg because he wasn't given enough praise for reaching the US Open final, but now he's a bitter man.

If he was still good enough he'd still be playing in DC whether Andy wanted him in or not.

Hope you don't end up sorry you said that.
It was only a reaction to the anti-Murrays sentiments that greet any losses, and even many of Andy's victories on here which is where his fans are supposed to be.

I think Djokovic is a phenomenal player as do I think Andy is one phenomenal player. You don't get to #2 or even the top 30 without being a great player.
