I can't find when the draw will be made but think it could be tomorrow (Saturday).

Unfortunately Amazon Prime are not showing this although TennisTV are.  Hopefully free live streams will be provided.
6  General Community / Andy Talk / Andy at the Gijon Open on: Today at 04:44 pm
The 2022 Gijón Open, which is organised by the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation, is a professional men's tennis tournament to be played on indoor hard courts at the Palacio de Deportes in Gijón, Spain, from 10 to 16 October.  It will be the 1st edition of the event and part of the ATP World Tour 250 series.  This was one of the six tournaments that were given single-year ATP 250 licenses in September and October 2022 due to the cancellation of tournaments in China because of the ongoing covid pandemic.

Andy has been awarded a wild card along with Feliciano Lopez and Spanish hopeful 16 year old Martin Landaluce who won the 2022 US Open Boys' singles title.  Former world No. 3 Dominic Thiem, who won the 2020 US Open, will also be playing through his protected ranking.  The field has ten top 50 players other than Andy (currently ranked No. 46) and is headed by world No. 9 Andrey Rublev.

I meant that that was the end of Emma's season apart from the Billie Jean Cup.  Hopefully she will take part in that.

In some ways winning the USO last year didn't do her any good because so much has been expected of her this year.  If she'd been an "ordinary" player she has, in fact, done very well in 2022.

She is very injury prone I agree.  I don't have Twitter but there are some very harsh comments about her there, probably not tennis fans. They think she's in the wrong career entirely.
I must admit that I've sometimes wondered if she wouldn't be better taking up the scholarship she was awarded at Cambridge.   At least she would be reasonably sure of a career if she did that and nor would it stop her from playing tennis.  If she continues to be this injury prone then her tennis career is going to be one of constant disruption, and that won't be much fun for her.

It suppose it could be as there are only a handful of tournaments left, but she might play in the Billie Jean King Cup finals which are being held in the Emirates Arena in Glasgow from 8 - 13 November.

It's the fact that she's so prone to injury that's the worry, yet she got through the USO last year without any problems, which is rather strange.
