Hi all, what a great site this is. Many topics to keep us all going and interested no matter what our age, health or status.
I have never felt particularly at ease with giving personal details on a public website being a bit of a private person but, Janscribe is correct, it is much more interesting if we know a little more of the background of the members.
So, I'm 52, female, married to a non tennis lover (even worse, a particularly

non Murray fan), and have a son in his early 20’s.
Took up

as a child at the age of 7. Played club and district until 16 but had to give it up because of a back problem. Originally, a bit of a townie turned “country-girl”, I started horse riding and breeding. Equines, not humans! At the ripe old age of 35, I decided to go to a tennis-training week at Gleneagles run by Virginia Wade. I had a great time and very surprised at just how much I had remembered. However, my biggest thrill, was when no other than Judy Murray (there as a coach) suggested to me that I should not stop playing as I had a super slicing serve.
She did not, I have to say remark favourably on any other aspects of my game
Needless, to say, I did not take her advice and instead continued with my Labradors, horses, bought some hens and started breeding native sheep. Some of which I have to say are lambing at this precise moment

that I do not have to dash off.
Discovering a couple of years ago that I needed the dreaded, Specs

I went for a eye test to our local optician. He asked me why I thought I required glasses and I said that I couldn't see the tennis ball on telly any more! "Oh", he said, "are you a tennis fan"? I replied that it was only a
mild fixation
But then he told me that he was Andy's uncle and Judy Murray's brother.
Well you can imagine how long my consultation took...not for my eyes but talking TENNIS!
Ever since that scrawny, lanky lad walked out on a Wimbledon court those few years ago and played with his entire heart and soul...and cramp, I just knew we were all witnessing a phenomena and my tennis interest yet again increased tenfold. In the past 10 years, I have been to Wimbledon on 3 occasions and Roland Garros once. To cap it all though, I am delighted to say, that after years and years of trying I am now the very proud owner of two Centre Court Debentures starting in 2011
Andy WILL WIN Wimbledon , I am just so hoping it will be in the next couple of years but I'm prepared to wait 5/6 and that I'll still be there to see him
