Evening Mark, Elly and the rest of yous .,.. I've not posted for years but I've not stopped supporting Andy.  I think about this thread whenever he wins and I had to drop in to say hello and damn that boy is good ..... We always knew that and his record speaks for itself.  He was ruthless today, played smart and sharp, didn't give the other guy a look..... Surely SPOTY again....... I hope he takes a couple more Grand Slams, world Tour Finals and gets a stint at world number 1. He will have to take down Novak a couple more times. Anyway hope life is good for you all .....  Just watching the highlights.  Tried to watch the footy thus evening but it was so dull!

I predict two slams next year - one of them Wimbledon, i think he looked so awesome at Wimbledon against Ferrer, and Tsonga and again in the Olympics against Djok and Fedex (amazing stuff in both those matches). Be so good if he can win the ATP finals (not sure the slow indoor court at the O2 suits him) and win AO in the new year - probably get him to no1. I see Djok being his main rival on the hard courts, don't write off Fed at Wimbledon. Rafa - see how his injury goes ....

I really couldn't see him winning at 2 sets all, but Christ on a bike he was good in that 5th set. Absolute warrior.

he looked in trouble in the 3rd but looked a bit sharper in the 4th and maybe he was conserving a bit - he was rejuvenated in the 5th and Djoker had used up all his nitro on all those ridiculous long rallies

He's 3.5 decimal odds for SPOTY now, but Bradley Wiggins is still favourite. Maybe if he wins the tour finals he will be a lot more likely to get SPOTY.
