Just seen Muguruza take out Halep. My goodness she's back to her best! And in the other match a young American Kenin, playing without the Gauff hype, and whom I've barely heard of, took out the lovely Barty. Didn't see the match but it looked close.  Both Kenin and Muguruza play very aggressively, should be a fiery final!

Fed has strapping on his thigh. Not looking good as movement is one of the keys to his game.

Aileen: re your comment on R the R. Think you like Stan, don't you? I don't myself, tho. I can appreciate his shot making. Whereas I like looking at PB...

But he looked cooked at the end, whereas "Pretty Boy" looked mighty fresh..

^ That's not really correct. Dom is a power player who hits very big on his forehand. This is a deliberate high risk strategy, which reaps great rewards, but it is very far from "reckless." In fact he was winning most of the rallies from the baseline. Dom has improved his game too, now coming forward and knifing volleys too.
I saw Dom play at the O2. The sheer power of his forehand was incredible. Of course he's put some out but when they go in they are almost unplayable. He beat Dkokovic there too.
What is evident from Rafa's play is how anxious he gets in the big points. Showed this against Nick in a previous round. Always was extremely nervy, hence mannerisms, and now it's getting worse. Inevitable as his body gets less reliable. I think he's losing this "mental edge" and Federer is too.

Aileen: Fed had back problems in his match v Tennys Trump, but miraculously came through a zillion match points in the 4th and seemed to loosen up in the 5th. Was very pleased, don't usually cheer for him these days, either!
