Phew! Andy serving much, much better and looks more relaxed. Are we breathing yet?
The only person enjoying this one will be Nole cmonandy

Oooh, Andy's serve is right off so it's so hard for him, makes his game right off too. He's gonna have to dig deep and settle down pray

Andy has played Ferrer b4, he is not an unknown quantity like dolly mixture. I think that was one of the most difficult matches any of the top players faced. For goodness take he took out Tsonga and Soderling so let's give Andy some credit clap
Also, I don't for a minute think that this is Andy's best chance and if he doesn't win this he never will and all that cobblers  Frown
Tennis players reach their peak 24-27, Roger and Rafa being extraordinary exceptions. Andy, Nole, Rafa  and Delboy will meet each other in many more finals during these years. Andy will have plenty more chances, you'll see udaman

Ah grabcopy, don't know if u saw my previous but apply directly to Roland Garros site for FO. My avatar is a photo from there. It's a gr8 tournament.
As a matter of fact I was quietly confident about Andy playing Rafa and I am more confident now because 1) Andy just whopped Ferrer at WFT 2) Ferrer is a less good version of Rafa and 3) Andy is in fine form.  clap I happen to like Ferrer and he is a gr8 fighter but honestly people, if we really are worried about this one, what on earth will we feel if he gets through and meets Nole? Eyebrow raise.
Apparently Nole will be watching this from his hotel room while munching a bucket of popcorn, hoping these two will grind each other into the ground over a 5 setter  Rolling Eyes
So please Andy, get the job done in 3 and get plenty of rest for THE FINAL  udaman

Just read, Kevin Mitchell I think, saying that in the fourth set Andy slightly adjusted his position on ROS and thus got a handle on that horrid serve. He complimented Andy on the subtlety of his game. Must say, although I do notice such things when watching other matches, too much invested in Andy and notice things going wrong, like serve percentage, rather than things going right  fool
Meanwhile, Nole is second fave, so  cmon yeah Fed's mantlepiece must be near collapse with all that silverware!

Wow! Who'd athought it? Mustn't count our final chickens yet, David is a tough customer and a ferocious fighter, but at least Andy will know how to play him Fingers crossed

afterthought, Andy has gone further in the tournament seeding...so what's not to like lol

I know Andy will bring a totally different mind set to any match with Rafa and...better serving stats would be a gr8 help too Wink and a kiss
18564  General Community / Andy Talk / Re: AO QF : Murray v Dolgopolov on: January 26, 2011, 08:01 am
Yeah Caz, and to be fair to Andy Dolgopolov is a trixy character. You can't get any rhythm against him cos he lurches from sheer brilliance to sheer tennis courts in the park level, not just in a set but also in a game Shrug Not making any excuses for Andy just a possible explanation unsure
Also, will be a night match against Rafa so Andy and the crowd will be very pumped up. All very flat and weird  today.
18565  General Community / Andy Talk / Re: AO QF : Murray v Dolgopolov on: January 26, 2011, 07:46 am
Phew, too close for comfort. Andy seemed to have no energy and how he struggles when his serve is off no
But hey! A win is a win is a win  cmon yeah
So buck yourself up Andy and take it to Rafa. yes, assumption but will there be any other result?

Afraid not. I have a mate in Melbourne (my web designer) who sends me the programmes, though.

Am just researching the cost of the French Open - £250 a ticket and that's just day one... £1250 for the final.
My avatar is photo of FO we went a couple of years ago. Go directly to Roland Garros web site and apply there. It's a marvellous tournament and I hope to return very soon Smile
re tonight, the first set might be very close, I suppose, while he figures out how to play ADjnr  but then I expect a beat down.  Soderling is a one dimensional player who cannot vary his game, when it's not on, he loses. Let's all remember AG jnr is now facing the player who showed up the weaknesses in Soderling's game at the WTF
My dearest tennis wish would be that Andy beats Fed in a Grand Slam but as I have a very soft spot for Nole I hope he does it on Friday.
Meanwhile cmonandy

There's only one Andy Murray udaman
Australian commentator said Andy'd been "under the radar" this year as all talk had been about Raf/Rog. Obviously suits him yay
