If you get a chance guys please watch the posted you tube video, what a joy it was to watch Andy smiling and joking during this particular interview. Says alot about his current state of mind.  I've honestly never seen him this relaxed or animated ever. I truly believe Andy has grown mentally over the last 12 months yay yay yay
I completely agree with you. I think there must've been so much tension in the Murray camp after last year's AO. I expect u guys discussed it a lot. I've seen quite critical articles about Dani's role as Andy's "coach" but what I suspect they're all missing is his vital role as a warm, supportive, stabilising influence in the team which must've contributed to some changes in Andy. Gone is the negative, often self-harming behaviour on court and gone is the rather diffident behaviour when interviewed. This is a relaxed, at peace, focused  Andy and I like it very much.
On a different note have read lots of positives with some pundits even saying he'll come through on the other side. Haven't seen him play. Anyone who has got any thoughts?

Clementine Good posting! Agree with every word.
They were showing some of Andy's footwork and my word I know he's fast but...one shot he's running very fast forwards, GL put the ball behind him, Andy stopped dead, turned and returned the ball over the net. Think he could've been a short distance sprinter in another life.

Gr8 play Andy  clapping I haven't seen him so relaxed and at ease with himself for so long. I don't care that these matches are short, he's conserving his energy, must be good. At least Meltzer isn't another unknown. Thought Rafa looked out of sorts today too Whistle. Liked Tomic very much, have never seen him play b4 but he was impressive.

Aileen,   I didn't like those fist pumps after every point either. Yes, after a difficult game, for sure, but not after every point. . Of course, the horrible Lloyd kept saying what a marvellous attitude M. had! Bah! (Think I may be getting a bit obsessive about Lloyd, but he's on TV all the time, it seems)
Actually, I really like Petchey (spelling ?) he's so pro Andy it makes a wonderful change and I've seen him sticking up for Andy in interviews, so many times.

The horrible John Lloyd said in the first match the serve was going in the net. Apparently the first rule of tennis is get the ball over the net! This was happening in this second match so perhaps old Scot support this increased bouce  is indeed helping Andy focus. Whatever he's doing let's hope he continues   yay

He looked in really good shape physically and mentally. He was relaxed and, at ease with himself, even giving a wry smile or two at line calls. Serve was good too! Come on Andy, way to go clap

Johnny H., that's the Matts Willander who thinks Soderling is going to scorch the earth, isn't it?  Hmm...wouldn't waste my spit, as they say.
Can't stand John Loyd because he put big pressure on Andy to play Davis Cup when he was injured, because  he's always so critical of Andy, and what did he ever do? And lastly  THAT voice vomit Don't like smarmy Andrew Castle much either, but at least he's usually quite pleasant about Andy.

Nice bit of practise for Andy today. But will someone please get rid of John Lloyd for the duration, give him laryngitis or something? I'd pay good money pray Even prefer the charmless Greg.....
