Now, I really am making a name for myself in this hospital. The staff were so sorry for me not being able to watch Andy's match that one of the nurses managed to purloined a TV for me last night. Pretty soon most of the patients who were mobile were watching too and oo-ing and ah-ing along with me. The nursing staff kept coming by for a sly peek too. Unfortunately, like the Muppet I am, when Andy won I threw my hands in the air, totally forgetting that I was hooked up to a drip. My cannula flew out - there was blood everywhere - total carnage and great hilarity! I'm sure it did the patients a power of good and recruited a few more Andy fans along the way! Still hoping to be home for Friday's match though - I don't think I should repeat the performance.

Yeah, he was joking around in Wimby too once he challenged the last point. I like Nando. He seemed more 'calm' at that time. Wink

I like Nando too - he seems very genuine to me.  Is he back with Ana Ivanovic?  The cameras seemed to be focusing on 'Ana' written on his shoes.

Ruthie, that point about JWT, I agree, unfortunately. Jo has been really up and down since RG last year. I'm convinced being booed really hurt him and he hasn't been the same. After yesterday I'm sure Jo's confidence will nose-dive again, but I hope not. Jo's such a sweetheart. I wish him well but I fear for him.

I agree TJ - I am sure the crowd reaction from last year was still with him yesterday.  It will be a sad day for tennis when Jo is no longer playing.

My son has just texted to say he's sitting next to Jamie Murray at Heathrow - I've dared him to ask for his autograph for his mum!

Thanks for your good wishes everyone -  I'm hoping to get home either tomorrow or Tuesday and really, really hope Andy's still there for me to watch.  Until then, I'll just have to make do with the live scores and hide from the blood pressure nurse!  C'mon Andy!!!!!

It's not doing my blood pressure anygood I tell you that - hope he finishes it off in 2 games tomorrow (in his favour of course)

I'm in hospital at the moment recovering from surgery - the nurse checked my blood pressure while I was watching the live scores and told me to turn it off!

I assume the date the article was released has seemingly passed you by? 2010, four years ago. It's not relevant now. Andy hasn't had knee problems in at least 3 years.

Andy has a permanent knee problem that is made worse by playing on clay.

Can't start slowly tomorrow, or he'll be out before he knows what's hit him. nervous

Strangely, I think Andy may know that!

We have been repeatedly told that the Better Together campaign is too negative. Let's imagine then that Scotland is presently a separate country and wishes to join the UK (in the same way it wishes to join the EU),  What would be the benefits?

We would get government expenditure per head considerably greater than that of the rest of the UK and more than that paid in by us through taxes; entirely unrestricted access to, and trade with, an economy ten times larger than our own with all the attendant cost savings.

We would get a British passport backed up by a worldwide network of embassies and consulates; the pound sterling; membership of the EU with all the British opt-outs and the rebate; a share in the British armed forces with their administration and training structures and military bases, a large slice of their warship construction contracts, the protection of the joint Anglo-American intelligence arrangements.

We'd get political representation in London commensurate with our size and become an integral part of a union with influence in the EU, the UN, Nato and the G8.

You might think this would be a good deal and you would be right!

I have to go into hospital for surgery on Tuesday - hopefully, home on Sunday - so I'm likely to miss most of the first week.  I really hope Andy survives to the second Monday because by then I'll have a perfect excuse to watch wall to wall TV!
