Brilliant video. Increasingly it is embarrassing to be Scottish.  SNP have become a second rate one woman cult ignoring  abject failure to deliver in all important areas of Scottish life. They don’t like Boris. He is a toff. Big deal. That is not a fit  argument to reverse six centuries of shared endeavour. I can find reasons to dislike Boris without even considering the "toff" business and the only reason I can find for being embarrassed about being Scottish is the existence of "The Scotch Cringe".     Much reduced but still around.

Even for those shielding and only taking food deliveries, the gamble is scary. The gamble that you perfectly decontaminate every single item that has been delivered. Every time.

I'd take the teensy weensy chance of a life altering reaction to a jab over that any day.

Maybe Aileen is thinking she has managed that gamble successfully for almost a year while the virus was raging.    She doesn't have to rush into a decision.

I see you've progressed to giving out terrible medical advice as well. That's an unfortunate development.

Why don't you stop your girlish giggles and let me know what the errors are.   If they exist I will apologise for them.    As for Aileen she is perfectly capable of making her own decisions.     The elderly are more at risk of severe illness but the younger age groups do the most of the spreading of the virus.    So if Aileen stays at home she is really only putting herself at risk.    

My apologies for the misunderstanding, and in fact I do now recall you saying that you'd had your first dose and that you were fine afterwards, but I'd still prefer to wait a bit longer to see how things work out generally.

It is your choice Aileen and as you are not gallivanting about the country you can afford to wait and see.       

I see I've been criticised for not having it, and even been called 'insane', but my feelings towards it are the same as yours, i.e. I might consider having it at a later date.  Meanwhile given all the precautions I take plus the fact that I don't often see anybody, I'd say that my chances of contracting covid aren't very high.  Also by not having it at least it meant that one other person who might really have needed it could have had it.

Aileen I meant I was willing to wait to see the end result of the vaccination programme rather than be in competition over it.     I actually had my first dose nearly 3 weeks ago and had no problem with it.    Like you, I would have been willing to wait and let someone who has to be out and about have theirs but that would further complicate a difficult enough task.

Ah, quite the contrary! Not much of challenge in this exchange, alas. There could have been an interesting discussion about why the Scottish vaccination effort is lagging behind the rest of the UK. I suppose that might require a level of intellectual honesty that's uncomfortable for most nationalists.

The original challenge was to spot the difference.    I found that very easy.    In fact there were another couple of slips I didn't bother to mention    As for the vaccination effort I'm willing to wait a bit longer to see how it plays out.     I know a couple of 70 year olds who had their first dose yesterday and all seemed to be well.     Admittedly that was in Edinburgh and no doubt there will be pockets where there are problems.    Meanwhile I have to suffer Ruth the Mooth.
