What annoys me the most with Wimbledon is the overall haughtiness of the place, i admire tradition etc but more actual tennis fans should be allowed in not just the pimm drinking elitists who frequent the place, real tennis fans are so outnumbered, they feel obliged to stay quiet to a degree, later on when everyone gets pissed it seems to get better.
I remember when they let fans in for the final on Monday when Goran won wimbledon, and middle sundays when rain delayed matches, the supporters were much more lively and made the matches much more interesting. The Olympic supporters were amazing for Andy, it's such a shame he can't have that kind of a crowd rooting for him.
I think that's why Andy loves the USO and AO so much.
Yes, of course. The crowd is very enthusiastic and free from any prejudices. They are fun and they like to have fun. Nothing holds them back. You will see them staying back very late at night when the match has gone to distance (USO mainly) and still cheering for the players. They keep them alive and keep them on their toes. Very different culture altogether. Wimbledon is a great tournament itself but the crowd are a different matter.

Disgusting, you act like the victim when your not and assume your mindset of 'I should get respect anyway'.
I don't act like 'victim'. I am simply giving the names I am odds with. In fact, it would be very rare for me to quote any of you in that list and pick up a fight. It is almost always the other way around. For a 16 year old, you are far too clever. I have no reason to actually go back and forth with you. I know I don't go around my way to insult people and I am certainly not on my last warning if you know what I mean. I've been posting since 1998 and so I have much more experience dealing with different people over the years. And I've never been banned. I know that forums can be quite the bully for some people who are otherwise nowhere near as confident/bully in real life. Now I am going to go back to my Wimbledon discussion as this post was already a waste of time. If you have problems disliking someone then it's strictly your problem - not mine. I don't care enough to dislike someone on a forum. Certainly not worth talking about.

I knew Melzer would make it interesting, but not as interesting as it turned out to be.
Melzer is a very good player and very underrated. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings re: JJ, really. I know you like him very much and I want to be careful about people's feelings. I was just analyzing the match.

TBH I don't know why so many on here hate Emma Jean though.
Yes, we disagree here, but she is being respectful and not breaking the rules.
Where did that come from? lol Not 'so many' of course but a few and I will name them for you - Angiebabe, Caz, Hazel, Elly and Clydey. Gangsta used to be nice to me but he's taken a 180 on me as well. Quite ironic cause when I went away for a few days from this forum, he went to the other forum and made it look as if he missed me. Anyway, no point rehashing any of this. I don’t think I am cut out to please everyone here or anywhere and I don’t even want to try.

No ****, sherlock.
Never denied that Melzer played badly. But I stand by my opinion that JJ would have won a lot more comfortably if he was playing his best level.
And how do you know that Melzer was just fine? Were you inside his head, or are you just presuming that because he's not someone who speaks his mind, like JJ is?
Also how are they bad excuses? Would you say the same if I claimed Andy was not playing his best due to his back injury? Clearly not. The elbow injury is a perfectly valid excuse. But of course you've probably never played Tennis whilst not 100% before so it doesn't matter to you.
Because he chose not to say anything even if there was anything as every single thing is part of the game. JJ will learn eventually. I did not say anything about his injury, now did I? Please pay attention to the part I've highlighted. But it is really part of the game as well. In the end, the fittest and wisest will survive and will dictate the sport. I'd already said before the match that Melzer would make it very interesting and he did. It's only because I am so familiar with Melzer's game. Anyway, no point going on with this anymore, really. I am truly indifferent to JJ. I never disrespect any tennis player - even Federer. Don't like him, sure but don't disrespect him.

Not really, no. If JJ had been on form, he'd have made life a lot easier for himself. Melzer was good, but nothing special. A lot of his points were due to JJ mistakes. Also JJ said afterwards he did not like the condition of court 12, he slipped a few times, and even said it affected his movement, so maybe the explains the slow movement issue. And we must not forget the elbow injury. Talking of injuries I think the only 100% fit players left in the draw are Djokovic, Kubot, Verdasco and Berdych. First of all, mistakes don't happen all the time on its own. Sometimes your opponents cause them. I hope you paid attention to the match. Second, all are bad excuses. Melzer was just fine on the same court. At least he didn't have a series of complaints.

He's pretty good with a hostile crowd outside country, no doubt. I really think he's better off not paying as much attention and just play his game. Let the support come naturally and it will come in full force once he wins Wimbledon.
