One more remark: We should not forget that Korda beat RBA, a really solid player, yesterday, which is proof of his good form.

One factor is that he has not played many of the younger opponents and it often takes him a while to get used to their games. With this tournament in particular the rallies are very long and exhausting so that the younger players may have an advantage over Andy in the latter stages of a match.
After all, I think Andy was competitive. Not everyone can be top ten.

Immaculate third set from Korda, unfortunately.

So much hard work - and yet Korda is running away with the set.

Korda does not put a foot wrong atm. Still, a boring player.

It looks as if Andy is spent. An early break, another one after having had 0:40 with plenty of chances to still make it. Now I doubt he can win it.

Korda rebooted doing what he did in the first set. Andy a bit off the boil.

What a turnaround! Into a third hopefully with the momentum for Andy.

Break balls averted, phew! Every game is a battle.

Andy faces so much pressure from his opponent and has to work so hard while Korda hardly seems to break sweat. This must change.

Today Korda has one of his better days: he does not give Andy many errors, has plenty of firepower and plays flawlessly at the net.

The points from 0:40 up were the best he played. And some more first serves would also be welcome.

Again, an early break. And that against a big server.  These long rallies may not help.

RBA gave Andy a painful rubbing in winter. So far for upping his game against long-time opponents on the tour.

Good to get a win but not so good to watch but as Andy supporters we are used to that.

That put him up to 46 in the live rankings back as third Brit above Jack Draper at 48.

I think that the next match should be better as Andy does usually up his game with classier opponents.
