I love Kei too, good to see him healthy. As well as the heady Murraycoaster excitement, it was lovely to get a reprise of their Birmingham Davis Cup rubbers.

My personal favourite time was perversely negative -  Andy barely losing the FO semi to Djoker over 2 rain drenched days, breaking them both to allow Stan the Slime to swoop in and nab it. The match threads here   were both an outlet and a testimony to the shared emotional intensity. And also a bonus opportunity to relentlessly slag off my most hated player of all time. 

One more login for me too, though I never stopped lurking on Aileen's match threads, always bursting with insightful research. An essential part of every match.

I can only echo the sentiment: Andy made tennis personal to me, and so did being part of this community. I'm a circe-come-lately who only discovered him in 2006 Wimbledon, but became an instant acolyte. Thank you all, especially Mark and Aileen. And boogers, who was our id, second only to Andy himself as his worst but most devoted critic. He made me laugh a lot.

You were very right Aileen. Men's tennis would be very different without the 4 anomalies of Bo5 slams, which reward endurance rather than shot making. But I strongly dislike both players in this gold medal match on a personal level. The silence around the Zverev abuse allegations is deafening.

Anyone know why the gold medal match is indoors. Is it because of the bad heat experiences?
