Russia got justice in the end, they brought some amazing football. Sad for Holland, but they had a good run.

Hopefully Spain surprises, only team I like that's still in the running.

Tomorrow is interesting:
If Romania win, they qualify.

I think Holland will let Romania win, and they should. Otherwise they'd meet Italia or France in the semis.

Czechs vs Turkey was the most exciting match of the championship so far for me. So so so sad it's over for the Czechs, though happy Turkey's goalie got a red card.

Come on, Netherlands! cmon yeah

Whatever you think, anyone is better than another warmonger and I feel that is what McCain will certainly end up being.

We'll have to wait and see. Only way to tell.

I hope he will be a good president who respects the Western culture, though I have a few doubts about the decisions he will have to make in the future. I'd say the same if it was a white man expressing another religion.

Having a president who appears very understanding of Muslim culture could be one of the major things America needs to help stop Islamic extremism against the country. Good on Obama.

Perhaps it's not bad to be a bit intolerant towards religion, as it's getting too far at the moment. It cannot be that there was almost a law allowing people to wear Muslim outfits in class, in a Western country.

Stories about the queues being 3+ hours is boll**ks.

Don't know about Wimbledon, but any court (even very unpopular ones) is impossible to get on within 3 hours.

Surely the basis of leadership of a *free* country is to have links with all the different major communities within it?

But this isn't just a 'link', I think it's more than that. The majority in America isn't Muslim, therefore the leader shouldn't be either as it's such a repressing religion.

How do you know he's not a Muslim? Like I said, if you don't support Islam, you would never wear such clothing.

I find it very interesting how some people shut down the minute religion gets brought in. They can say all they want, but he was expressing religion in those photos.

A joke right? I don't think you're capable of saying such an ignorant thing.

I don't think someone who has bounds with Muslim communities should be the leader of a *free* country.

I supported Obama when I made this thread and I support him now... McCain is just going to end up being another warmonger.

I liked his charisma until I saw the photo where he was in a Muslim outfit. Nobody who doesn't support the Islam would be caught dead wearing it. Could have some nasty consequences for America. I wanted Hilary to proceed.

Didn't expect to see Holland lead in that group, though I'm very pleased!! cmon yeah

Stupid Italians will keep blaming it on the first goal though.

Whooo, Italians getting smacked! Serious off-side misser though... But Netherlands are better either way, second goal was fantastic. yay

Wonderful performance by Nadal! He was really humble after the match.
Djokovic put up a better fight than Federer, I was a bit embarrassed he played so badly. Even if Nadal is unbelievable on clay, the Nr 1 of the world should be able to do *something*.

Nadal will win Wimbledon, I can feel it!

Very glad Czechs won! clap
Anyone but Italy or France for me throughout the championship.
