Wonder if Andy Murray will become an authentic British clothing manufacturer like Fred Perry in 70 odd years! Very Happy

I think someone in his box shouted at him to put on the watch, I don't think it was foremost in Andy's mind tbh.

It certainly was on his mind. He went over to his box to get the watch and then Kim shouted it was in his black bag...

Don't understand why people are making such a fuss out of it. He gets paid to do this, who cares? Definitely not front page spread news.

SOOO happy Smile Lovely article on it here:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/sep/11/andy-murray-wins-us-open
Particularly love this from Andy "As for where this historic victory leaves him, as a person and a player, Murray said, "I hope it doesn't change me as a person. That would be a bad thing. On the court, hopefully if I get into situations like this in the future I won't be having all the doubts that I was having before the match today.

"[But] I'm still going to have all the same friends and family and stay in the same house and train in the same places. There may be a few more busy press conferences and a few more demands on my time, but that's part of the job and that's worth it."
As for his legacy, he said "I'm very happy to be part of this era in tennis. I think everyone here would agree it's one of the best ever. Playing against [Nadal, Federer and Djokovic] has made me improve so much. I always said that maybe if I played another era I would have won more, but I wouldn't have been as good a tennis player."

That just deserves applause. clap

Or TG can do it, she seems to specialise in gifs.

Just someone get it up!  w00t

Aye, you sure there's nothing else?  Get tae f**k! lol

Perhaps someone on Tumblr will make one.

We need a video/gif thread to celebrate the occasion.

...am I getting too carried away?

No but no need to pretend you have a good music taste.  Cheese is acceptable for such occasions. Very Happy
