I'm filled with the thoroughly British sporting doubt, not for any reason really, I'm always like that when Murray plays someone good. Its a good defence mechanism I suppose and makes him winning a nice surprise

I was at wimby that day, sitting on the mound watching Murray on the big screen and the england match on a portable. There were no men at all at wimbledon that day, great day out

You make a good point nads, but there are still a couple hundred useful points to be squeezed out of those 5 other tournys if he can make finals at reasonably important events. Even a Barcelona semi would be +60 points. Remember that with rolling ranking its always good to have 6-7 good 'other tourny' results in case he goes through a rough patch next year.

I think for Andy these international series events have become about winning titles rather than ranking points
