So long as Moutet behaves himself! Got expelled from the French Tennis Federation at the end of last year for repeated bad behaviour on court, which included being disqualified for swearing at the umpire and being fined 10,000 euros for a scuffle on court with his victorious opponent which saw the umpire having to separate the two players!
I don't think that sort of behaviour will work with Andy...

^ Thank you Tamaragi. Isee that the seeding issue appears solved by Andy's withdrawal from Cincy. I think that it would now take at least five higher ranked players to pull out of the US Open for him to be seeded? He will need to rely on a fortunate draw for a winning run in New York which must have been his target. That is assuming his abdomen strain recovers enough for him to play. I think that he would be hoping for that as we know that he loves the big events. Perhaps he will try to be added to a warm up event at short notice at late notice to prepare his body for the slam event? Probably not a lot available?
There's Winston-Salem in between Cincy and the Open. That's it. But I would think that two weeks between now and the Open should be plenty of recovery time for him.

Are you sure about that because I just do not understand how you have worked that out. He is currently ranked 36 and there are 32 seeds with no firm indication of non-participants or protected entries. I think that the seeds are determined on 21st August.
Andy's now at 37 in the live rankings. I'd say that of the people above him, Struff and Shapovalov are iffy for the Open. Berrettini might be a question mark too. Squeaking into the seeding certainly not impossible.

Desperate bummer news. Andy's decided to withdraw. They're waiting for him to come out and speak to the crowd. Evidently an abdominal strain or something but I guess he'll tell us. Oh boohoo! He says it's similar to what happened to him last year after Stuttgart but not as bad. Clearly hoping that dealing with it now will mean he won't have to miss the US Open. He seemed really upset about having to withdraw, needless to say. He apologized to everyone. Also rather gloomily, he said he'd always liked playing this tournament and that this could be the last time, which is really really depressing.

I don't think Wawrinka's ever lived that sartorial embarrassment down!
He revelled in it! Don't you remember when he had a keyring or something made with a mini version of the shorts attached? Also I believe the outfit is displayed in the RG museum!!!
