Jeezo, the cliquey-ness is coming through again.

Clydey, didnt find you bitter during PMing, but then again I cant remember what we PMed about.

Im sorry you latched onto my comment about you pounding us on the head with the point - i did actually follow the match here for a change and i found it so incescent i had to comment. I thought it was a insightful analysis at first, ended up... I wont end that sentence as Mark will jump on it.

Ill retract the notion that I dont post on here just because of Clydeys attitudes.

Oh I like that way of looking at things!

w00t

In all seriousness, I watch djokovic with interest now more than ever because Im trying to work out if he was never actually quite as good as Murray - like we used to feel - or on the other hand he could be a fable for us all, and Andy will have a similar dip after his incredible recent run of form.

I still believe the former Smile

Though I worry that this season could be the reverse of last, with Murray running out of steam after Wimbledon and Djokovic coming to life in the US Masters + Open nervous

In what sense am I bitter? I am certainly bitter that we weren't treated to a tennis match. I said all of this before the match even started, so let's not pretend that I am merely reacting to a loss. Every word was said before either player struck a ball.

So in what sense am I bitter if I am simply being consistent with what I said before the loss?

You were bitter before a ball was struck.

Clydey, the fact is your frustration and bitterness just frustrates me to death, i apologise. I can really no longer hang around this site during matches because of it actually.

Dont worry, you still don't get to me as much as Mark is capable of - whose comments I take as a compliment as it seems he feels he met his match in me in past arguments....  w00t

So Andy is 670 points short of Djokovic with both defending the same in Miami but Djokovic defending 930 more in Rome.

So, going into these two tournaments, Andy is actually 260 points ahead of Djokovic, assuming he can at least match Djokos performance.

Looks good Id say!

Are there any significant tournaments in between?

I care a great deal about your opinion. I'm glad you posted. I will now go and mend my ways.

Bitter twit.

Guys, the fact is that Nadal is absolutely exemplary when it comes to taking all the tools, shots, ability that he has as one of the world's top tennis players and using all it all to make himself into a champion.

Consistently.

He can adapt to conditions, he has an incredible mental fortitude, he can dig in a come back when he's being outplayed, he can handle the pressure of the big points without flinching, he can improve the weak areas of the game, he can do whatever it takes - the guy is immense.

Murray, along with everyone else, falls short of that.

Yes Nadal's game is better suited for these conditions than Murrays - Clydey, you should learn some humility because theres no need to beat us to death with that point and the fact you made it way before the game and that youre not making excuses for murray and it all couldve been different and yada yada yada - zzzzzzzzzz

When it comes down to it, we can all look up in awe at Nadal. Although we do still know Murray has it in him to beat him, even on the big occassions... Smile

This one has been fine for me all week. http://www.channelsurfing.net/watch-wabuk-1.html

I get freezing issues on these streams, anyone else getting it?

The worst is when the picture freezes for a while but the audio carries on with the pictures picking up later. So stressful.

Used these streams before without any such problems.... dont wanna have to go looking at video codecs, connection issues, software/plugin versions if its a common problem....?

Noone in the world seems interested in the dead rubbers.... are they even being played?

Seems Goodall lost 7-6, 6-3 to Ivan Sergeyev, world number 398 earlier today. If you look at rankings and H2Hs our players are barely any worse than Ukraines'..... why is everyone taking completely for granted that they beat us because they are a higher quality team? (To quote Lloyd amongst others)

Oh and I know its a dead rubber but Goodall should be able to compete a hell of a lot better against someone 200 places lower than him, surely?

I agree that the hype would always play against him but I'd still have fancied him to beat Verdasco. Something wasn't quite right today, only Murray knows what.

Murray has clearly not reached the level of Nadal and Federer in terms of consistency and Slams but if we look back at the last few years these guys and Djokovic have had earlier than expected losses in Slams and Masters tournaments.

Unless Djokovic wins the tournament (and actually even if he does) Murray will have made inroads into 3rd place. Despite a disappointing loss today thats still where he is in the grand scheme of things. The only worrying thing is that we have a very strong looking top 8 now, and players like Del Potro & Tsonga are capable of closing the gap to the top 4.

Ive always said Murray's career will be bumpy, but he does have magic and I re-iterate that his triumphs will come and be all the sweeter for his lack of Federesque consistency.

Id LOVE Wimbledon to be his first Grand Slam. That would be the sporting occassion of my life.

As for this tournament, I'll be following Roddick now as well. What can I say, im a Scotland fan - born to be disappointed Very Happy

Getting there now tho, races to 40-0

Break 2-0 MASSIVE C'mooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Not quite back to top form yet tho. Perhaps just concentrating more, managing the problem (illness, heat, or just lack of concentration!)

I hope he's not ill Eh?

Murray gave up the point there, seemed very gettable.

Set Verdasco 6-1. A blip im sure.

Cannot believe his first serve was apparently 58%??
