This is going to be a typcial Murray match. Awesome rally there which shows that Murray is at least if not more powerful (and accurate) on the attack but far far superior in defence. Soon Verdasco will get frustrated and Murray will cruise it I reckon

Azarenko is staggering around ridiculously now.
She's broken down into a fit of tears and retired. Such a shame as just a few games before she was destroying Serena with massive forehand winners.
Serena was bemused during the final few points, was totally not going for anything as her opponent staggered around the court. Shes being interviewed on court now and is geniunely concerend.
Perhaps the girl was a bit naive tho, apparently she could've thrown the 2nd set (just let Serena win the points) and then there could be a 10+ minute break between sets.
It means we'll have Murray and Nadal matches on together.

That would be interesting! Azarenko looks quite ill tbh..... If both players were injured in such a way that they absolutely couldnt continue it would descend into a game of bluff I'd guess...

re: Murray match: The announcer on the Hisense arena has invited the crowd to take a wander and be back for 3.30pm (4.30am UK time).
Meanwhile Eurosport may be off the hook as Azarenko needs a doctor - heats getting to her... and Serena is taking a 3 minute injury timeout as well! What happens if both players need to retire injured in a match?

Eurosport have not been overly quick to mention the Zheng retirement on the Serena v Azerenko coverage considering they knew about the original injury very quickly.
Probably a bit worried about having to switch from the intriguing situation in that match having started covering it.

Kuznetsova is brutalising Zheng at the moment. I don't know if its just because she's generally more powerful than Zheng or if she's trying to take advantage of the injury but its sort of like a man playing a women in terms of power. Unfortunately she's missing as many as she's getting.
She's on the verge of another break.

Zheng struggling with a wrist injury she had coming into the match.
Fell over and seemed to aggrevate it, had the trainer on, but play has resumed.
She is, however, struggling to hold her serve at the moment. She seems to be serving at 120-140 kph which seems low. She's just lost her serve. Maybe she'll degenerate and lose quickly, or better yet just give up....

There will be a dark horse and a surprise or two at the Austrailian Open I feel - there always is.
But if we do end up with Murray, Nadal, Federer & Djokovic in the semi's I'd agree that Murray is (currently) slight favourite. However, of the four of them, none would be a surprise winner.
