This article, which I 've just read is such a crock of shite - understand the 'author' had to change the title of his missive.

Which specific parts of the article do you disagree with, sweetie?

The Joker jostles Rafa ragged 6-4, 6-4.................i thought Rafa looked totally lost and out of sorts - bereft of ideas, i felt Andy gave the joker a sterner test yesterday nervous

you know what they say Caz, great minds think alike hug was a good match though, do you think he'll now go on to beat John McEnroe's best start to the season record of 42 straight wins?

There was another loser again tonight - Addidas, when they dumped Djokovic in favour of Murray.

Does anyone feel that Team Murray could pull Cahill finacially away from his Adidas, TV etc commitments? Frankly I doubt it, but I should like to think it possible.

I firmly believe that Andy wants Cahill, hence the delay in finding a coach.

Don't think so, whatever shirt sponsor he has, if he wins Wimbledon wearing it, their sales will hit the roof and Andy's earnings already estimated at £25million, would hit £100 million easily.

Djokovic just doesn't have that earning potential, great guy or not and I think he's great for the game but being from Serbia is a handicap from a sponsors point of view due to it being a small market, it shouldn't be as Djokovic is a cool guy and has the best sense of humour of a top player since Becker but it just does.

Djokovic wears the very classy designs of Italian company Sergio Tacchini who are extremely well known with an annual turnover of £45 million.  Smile

I don't see how ST would even think being from Serbia is a handicap - after all, Djokovic plays on a world stage, not just Serbia.

Yes....and does anyone know if it's actually 42 wins or 39?? I checked this out on the ATP website and seemingly 3 of the 42 were byes which obviously don't count. Seem to remember Barry Cowan stating 39 wins as an off the cuff remark before the Murray vs Djokovic match also. Regardless he would only need to make the semi at FO to topple both. It's Villas 46 match all time win streak record that's possibly out of reach....but who knows.

Yes, but Murray is more well known to the casuals. The people who watch tennis for 2 weeks of every year are bound to be more aware of Murray.

Many thanks for the link to that interview, "Andy Murray says 'crisis' behind him now", which I've only just read.  Very encouraging - especially

"This [win]definitely gives me confidence. Your tennis never goes away" ...  "I was on a bad run, mentally I wasn't in the best place but my tennis is never going to go away. When I have intensity and the right attitude like I have had the last few weeks, I will definitely be at the top again.  If I keep working hard and learning from the mistakes I made tonight and in previous matches this year then I feel I can go higher.

Sunday's tweets from Neil Harman, Tennis Correspondent for The Times -

"Andy Murray impressed mightily both on and off court last night. It was some epic - he and Djokovic some players."

"As I watch Novak Djokovic making his way to Centre today, I can't help having the feeling it really should have been someone else."

"If the ATP gave out awards for most improved player on clay, Andy would win it, no question."

Very nice quotes Aileen. Good for Neil Harman.  Andy will see them, we hope.
