He was bad enough the day before the Nole match to have an x-ray taken, this should have indicated that there was something not quite right and I agree with some of the other posts, he should have pulled out and left a top 10 place for another day.

Same situation as last year. Turned out to be a pretty awful weekend. Mind you, then we didn't have Tim! And the opposition had Nole.

Gutted that he might not play.  But then theres always Jamie and Tim of course!

He needs some time off.  I'm not concerned about Davis Cup.

ye Davis cup has never interested me...and it doesnt seem to capture the imagination of some of the top players either
Nadal didnt look too bad and he pulled..and compare the passion Murray showed against Haas while injured to the interview on sky regarding Davis cup tie

this happened a lot in soccer..especially when a clash was meaningless...players pulled out with slight niggles (or made them up)...whereas if the team was in a good position they would play.

let face it ...as much as we love em...top sports players have a lot of ego and are fairly selfish...the lifestyle will cause this

I care! I'm going! Not that the only reason I'm going is to see Andy play. He didn't play last year and I had a blast but I would love it if he could play. (well he played doubles but he really shouldn't have)

I don't doubt it's fun for the spectators at the venue...

It's a really good atmosphere. And for a lot of the players it's one of the only chances they really get to play in front of a big audience on home soil.

Yeah, I think that's why it has some importance here... because we have no ATP tournaments apart from Wimbledon which isn't always the best opportunity to see Murray.

The atmosphere looks really pathetic on TV but good to know it's better when you're there.

I'm going to this tie too but the main reason was to watch Henman, because I don't know when hes going to retire and I've been watching him for years and I'd like to see him play before he does finally retire.  But seeing Andy play would be great but if hes injured I think people shouldn't get on his back so much because hes had a great year so far and I think not playing this time could be forgiven.  Hes got years ahead of him yet to play Davis Cup ties.

Me too,it will be great to see them playing live, because the T.V  slowes the ball up and people dont realize how good the players are.
