Andy Murray has signed a four-year kit deal with US-based sportswear brand Under Armour. It is understood that the contract should roughly equal the £15 million Murray earned in his previous five-year deal with Adidas.
The deal will see Murray wear Under Armour’s clothing, accessories and footwear, although he will continue wearing Adidas Barricade shoes for the next few months until customised footwear has been developed.

Under Armour was founded by the former college football player Kevin Plank in 1998 and is a major clothing company in the US. The deal is seen as a move aimed at boosting its international presence.
Murray will wear Under Armour clothing for the first time on Thursday when he takes part in the Mubadala World Tennis Championship exhibition in Abu Dhabi. A specific line of clothing will be unveiled at the Australian Open. A new Andy Murray logo, developed by his management company 77, is also set to appear on his new kit and his Head racket bags.
Murray said: “I am very honoured and excited to be joining Team Under Armour and to help them tell their story globally.
“They are committed to providing innovative apparel, accessories, and footwear, with an unmatched focus on training and performance.”
Other athletes currently contracted to Under Armour include Tom Brady, Jordan Speith, Lindsey Vonn and Sloane Stephens, while in the UK the clothing manufacturer is the kit sponsor of Tottenham Hotspur.
