Murray to replace Djokovic at Adidas

Andy Murray will replace Novak Djokovic at Adidas next year,
according to Tennistalk
.
The deal is moving ahead with Murray set to leave Fred Perry and replace Djokovic and retiring Russian Marat Safin as the leading player for the German clothing brand.
Djokovic is looking to join stars Anna Kournikova, Tommy Haas, and Mardy Fish at K-Swiss to replace his Adidas deal. Last year Murray reportedly came close to a deal with K-Swiss before a late and sudden change of heart.

It's a shame that the British No.1 player won't be associated with Fred Perry, but I guess business is business.

I don't really care that he is moving from Fred Perry, he's given them many years and Adidas are probably offering a lot more money.
If Murray is the main player for Adidas then he'll probably have some say in their design, so the clothing at least might not look that much different to his current kit, hopefully we still see a lot of blue

How does going with Adidas possibly improve his chances of winning a Slam?

My thoughts exactly.
It might be good for his bank account and his future and all that but I think it may unfortunately damadge his credability

I doubt it'll damage his credibility, SS. It'd be a shame to see him join the ranks of the Adiddas clones though.

I don't think it will damage his credibility at least he has not signed up with Nike.
As long as his career doe not follow the same direction as the other British Adidas Wearer Tim Henman.
Tim had a great career and I was a big fan but Andy is Capaple of so much more

Andy in Adidas is OK by me, I actually liked him very much in his classy Fred Perry, but what the hey, there is money to be made, and Adidas will presumably be offering a lot more than Perry. Adidas clearly headhunting Andy, as he not only has the style on court but he is so good looking and charismatic. At 6ft 3in and rippling with toned muscles, he is the perfect role model.
I was amazed reading some of the Nole fans' comments, talk about sour grapes... they actually believe Djokovic is more appealing than Andy! I don't think so, Sonny Jim!
Are they having a laugh?
To me his face looks like it's been squeezed between two doors, way too long, and his eyes too close together, not to mention a small paused mouth. As for Andy's tennis being boring and uninteresting, they obviously haven't looked too closely at their man bouncing the ball 13/14 times on average on each serve, and patronisingly smiling and applauding his opponents whenever they pass him. He also marches around between points gulping in oxygen, taking ages. Andy just gets on with it. He is the one to watch and Adidas know it.

I'm a bit sorry he's chosen to join the Adidas name. Somehow the Fred Perry name, the style, the fact that it was British made it right for Andy but business is business and I suppose he has to take these opportunities when they arise, but at least Fred Perry was individual, more in keeping with Andy's own uniqueness but I don't expect he considered that important. No doubt the agency who manages the business side advised it.

I think it takes Andy more steps backwards (in style not business) ... in Fredperry kit he was special now he will be an ordinary player as in the top 10 players there are 4 adidas players ... I think adidas should make a very special kit for him
