Excellent win and pleased to see 3 British boys through to the semi-finals too.

Great match from Andy, I didn't think he would win the tie break against the Isner serve.   So pleased I was wrong.
Me too I have to admit Jennan.  I told a friend who rang just as it was about to begin that I might be gone some time before I could ring back.  Andy is doing pretty well in key tie breaks this year I think.

here we go - Roddick will retire  - like Rafa needs an extra bit of help!

Oh lord Roddick looks like he's down and out.  A cake walk for Rafa.

I never thought Roddick would trouble Rafa to be honest, he hasn't been at that level for a long time and I doubt he ever will be again.

Wouldn't read too much into this in terms of the SF. Andy still has a great chance to get some revenge for RG and Wimby here.

He can play a lot better than he has thus far and I don't doubt he will.  Will take something special to beat Rafa who will be the huge favourite, but an upset for our Andy is not impossible.

Isner did well today, he really has improved a lot recently but Andy is now very experienced at this.  He has been in a good groove with slams this year, just hope he can take it all the way!

Brilliant victory today for Andy - think he was a little bit hacked off with the interview - which hinted that he was lucky to get through in 4 to which he replied "I played great" - go yersel Big Man!!!!  How would anyone deal with the pace of serves that were coming from Isner also at the net when he spreads his arms he almost covers the whole width of the net !!!!  Thought Andy did great - just hope that he has enough left in the tank for Nadal.  Agree that you can't read too much into the Roddick / Nadal match - Roddick is not the player he used to be.  Would have been interesting to see how Nadal would have dealt with Isner today.  Come on the Scottish Giant Slayer !!!!!!

Top 4 in the semis at a slam for the second time this year.

Just shows the gap between the top four and the rest.

Thanks for the report Phil. Andy himself would approve of it I'm sure. Its somewhat kinder than your counterpart Boogers would have written! Laughed my tennis socks off at the following:

Murray's passing shots were simply sublime and Isner was frequently left groping at the net like a blind man in a brothel.

Very funny!

None of the rest are even close right now....its like watching the premiership, you know even before it all starts that only 4 or so can win.

Just our luck that Andy comes along with such great players, but that is exactly why when he wins one it will be such a great achievement.

That makes two of us thought i would have a heart attack when he had to save 2 break points in that last set, my husband got so fed up with me yelling at the telly he walked to the corner shop for a pint of milk (not even sure we needed any) The red shoes did it again
With Andys help of course haha

Well done Andy!!
Take care of those red shoes and wear them in the next match, and final of course!

I truly wish I could believe that.  Andy did extremely well to beat Isner, particularly in defying all the odds to hold his nerve and win the tiebreak, and I'm proud of his GS record for a calendar year, but unless and until he can control his emotions throughout the entire match and channel that aggression into his game instead of towards himself and his team when things don't go his way, which is what happened in the 3rd set, I fear that this will once again elude him should he succeed in reaching the final.
