Day 18 - 18/1/2007
Weather: rain and SNOW!  yay
Mood: Wide and awake and raring to go!
Rating: 5/10

Awoke at 0800-  despite only four hours sleep i was on fire and fine form indeed this morning. Felt totally wide awake and raring to go! Went of to maths as per usual at 0900 and enjoyed that, then skipped statistics and went to what has quickly become a favourite location, the tartan cafe. Not least because of the rather pretty people that work their, but also the rather good breakfats meals they provide!

Left to go home at about 1140 and then sat doing my maths there rather than come into the workshop. WEnt to psychology at 1600 and almost fell asleep! Again! hehe.

Went to pick the car up from the railway station and then headed to tesco for a bit of shopping and some water- both for me and the car! Headed back up to the uni to wait for the squash people to arrive. There wasn't many of us that showed up, but it meant more court time! I won some lost some, not too bad, but nothing special. Smacked my hip bone into the wall in one of the games and i have big purple bruise on my leg this morning!!

LEft a bit early from here and went home getting abck at about 2000. Sat about on the net and watching Judge John Deed. Talking to Amy as seems to be usual these days, never getting off the net hehe.  hug  (how sad are we)

Anyway went to pick my dad up from work at 2300 and then back to my computer and then to bad about 0130. Reasonably good day, but nothing to exciting. chow.

Day 19- 19/1/2007
Weather- BIt icy this mornign, bit o rain but all in all a nice day.
Mood: Tired
Rating: 6/10

0800- Get up, go back to sleep 0822- Get up to mum shouting at me...... Have to rush now and miss breakfast.(which I never do) Despite 7 hours sleep and only 4 the day before, i couldn;t feel worse this morning! Totally not wanting to go in at all!  Arrive at maths as per usual for my first lecture with the algebra/geometry lecturer (well my 2nd but the first was on wednesday...  Whistle ) Am really not impressed with the difficulty level in this course so far.... yawn....but despite taking no notes whatsoever, i am awake enough to spot a mistake in line 2 of a problem with about 10 lines of working, lucky i spotted it too, otherwise he'd be struggling to find where he went wrong! Normally I;m wide awake and miss the mistakes! THink it was because i wasn't taking notes....ah well. Went to stats and it turned out it was the workshop, despite the guy saying there would be no workshop til next week  Rolling Eyes typical. Although i would have known this if i had shown up yesterday. Anyway, end up sharing a sheet and getting most of it done, again week 1, so not very hard at all. IT will get harder....

1100- Toddle of to my somewhat regular haunt with the lads- Tartan Cafe and hot hot hot hawt waittresses. And the good breakfast's of course  Whistle Wink  Anyway, sit down to a hearty breakfast having missed my own, then it was off to the union for a few games of pool. I beat mike, jamie beat me, mike beat jamie, i beat mike, jamie beat me, mike beat jamie etc etc. Never changed!  Rolling Eyes Anyway,

1320- head up to the maths building to start the lab on Minitab early (class is scheduled for 2-4) on the computers. It's just an introductory assignement and i finish in 10 mins or so, very basic, similar to excel. So much for taking an hour to do. Anyway, post on mw for a bit and lecturer arrives, i show him the stuff and leave shortly afterwards, him satisfied I know what i'm doing. Head for the bus home.

1420- arrive home and grab a snack, before taking my dad to work at 1500. He's telling me about a car about 15 miles away for private sale. Might finally be getting one as I had a look when i got back and it's in my price range and the insurance is great value! Have to register my mum as the owner as she will be the main insurer, but it'll be my car basically. Ford Focus 1.4 Zetec. Not bad for a first car for a 20 yo. And i'll stay on the astra coupe sports insurance too, giving me a bit of choice.  yay Hopefully, the ford checks out ok when we go and see it..... Time to practice that barterring,

1700- Have dinner and get ready for work, Pasta things with spinnach inside...mmmm.... Off to work and nancy head home. Eve comes in at 1900, and it;s dead at this point. Starts getting busy at around 9pm when the dominoes start. IS a pretty quick night after that and me and Eve are having really good banter too. Slagging each other off as usual teehee. Neither of us win a half bottle of liquor in the raffle, but never mind. I;ve won two in the last 4/5 weeks anyway! 2340- bar is quiet now, so eve heads home as she was covering for someone else anyway. Get most things cleared up and done myself, and am out the door at 0030, taking my time after the bar shut at 1200. hehe. Cheeky boy. Took the keys home with me which was clever, but hey i;m the first one on in the morning so no one else shuld need them before me! Fingers crossed anyway.

0050- Arrive home after a nice drive this evening, to find out only my mother and bro are in. Mum tells me that my dad has been held up at work (he;s supposed to get the 2309 bus) as he had to arrest someone late on and lock them up for the night in the main station in the centre of town- lots of paperwork, different force, statements, etc etc etc. So I said i'd stay up to give him a lift   Rolling Eyes That's been 50 minutes now i;ve been home....not a cheep. Must be kinda serious, fantastic. Anyway, that's about it for today. No one online really tonight, but i have a friend still up txtin away keeping me company. Til the next time.

Edit: 0214- Still no phone call....and i;ve had nothign to eat since i came for fear of getting a call as soon as I start eating and having to leave my food, obviously the longer i wait, the more likely it is I get a call!

Yeah they are good cars, will feel a bit weird going from a 1.8 to a 1.4 though. Still on the astra's insurance though, so i can cruise about in that if i like hehe.

Additionally.... 0230 txt dad and he calls a bit later saying he's finished. Turns out his partner's car has a flat battery and i have to go over and jump start it at 3am! Funny story as to why they were late! But not for MW i feel. Anyway.

Day 20 - 20/1/2007
Weather- COLD
Mood: Good/happy i suppose
Rating: 5/10

0909- Mother comes in to inform me "you will be late for work if you don't get up soon....." I start at 1030 and he drive takes less than 20 minutes.... i takes me 15-20 mins to get ready. so even assuming these are both extended to 30 mins, that;s 0930!! NOT 0909!!!!! Damn woman. Anyway, aside from that i just realised andy was supposed to start at 0830! Jump out of bed and Dad comes in and turns the tele on, I see Blake playing and i think.... NOOOOOOOO have missed Andy! Turns out because of the storms he;s not played yet....phew.

Get ready for work and head off at 1003. Arrive at work early as usual and turn the tele on to see murray at 40-30 in the first game! Fantastic. A morning of tennis. Don't work very hard as am far too busy glued to the tele in the bar! wooo! Murray wins as we know and it;s all good. Day gets really really busy around 1200 when nancy comes in and we're getting hammered for about an hour or two!

Football is on to watch now as well. Plan to leave at 4 if it is quiet, and i do, going to see my mate Euan at his house. He's just back from Lanzarote -  Stirling Uni Tennis club tour, he;s El Presidente.
Anyway, We head into town after looking at some photos and go for dinner at the vic cafe then to te raisin for a few games of pool. Is pretty good banter and a chance to catch up on the latest gossip we each have.

2000- both of us are quite tired and we decide to head home, on the way i demostrate the capabilities of my car, as he had never been in it before today! hehe. shhh

Arrive home and am sitting about for a while, turns out my dad never phoned the guy who's car i want. But we are phoning and going to look with a definate view to buying tomorrow. WOOOHOOO!

Picked up my sister around 12 after she txt me down the high street in the town, and then back up and online, to speak to a slightly tipsy lady via webcam...... oh dear. Much amusement here. teehee.

You mean a refund of your £0.00.... I'll try and see what our claims department can do for you, but i can't gurantee a quick result. It may mean a court date in 6 months. Would you really be willing to risk losing the case?  Whistle

Well the short version is...

1145- Awoke and got showered, keen to get the car search underway as I take my first steps towards my own motor! I hand my dad my phone and he dials the number.....it begins to ring..... AND NO BLOODY ANSWER ranting I knew he should have called yesterday  Rolling Eyes  ....... Anyway, off we go to Cupar for shopping at Tesco, in the hope that if we try later on the person might be in! So 1240- Arrive in Cupar and go shopping around tesco, it;s not that exciting before heading to Lidl for the vegetables (SO CHEAP!  yay ) Anyway, give the person another call and still no answer! Gutted.  Crying or Very sad  I;m driving the car here and Dad suggest stopping at Vauxhall garage on the way back, just to have a look. So I agree and mum waits in the car while we have a look.

Prior to entering the garage area, my dad says "is it open? I hate salesmen don't want one to find us...." We decide it's shut and get out te car and walk across to the main parking area..... Not two seconds later, this guy comes out of the main building and practically sprints towards us, before we can escape he says those dreaded words "Can I help at all?" NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.......... we are doomed.  roflmao

Anyway, we look at a couple of the cars he has and he points a couple out to us that might be interesting. Long story short (you'll be glad no doubt) I end up test driving a very good priced Rover 25 and thinking of coming back to test drive a nice astra too.....  Rolling Eyes typical.

1405- have to get back at this point, as Dad has work at 3, test drive went well btw, not a bad car. Anyway. we get back and Dad gets changed and I give him a lift to work. Get back and look at the cars i saw on the net, insurance quotes and such like. Seems good and now i have a lot to think about while at work! Have dinner, macaroni cheese and a couple of rolls. yum yum.

1730- Head off to work, another boring shift, good drive through being a sunday, roads are quiet. Everyone has left by 8, and I clean up and go on the PC's yet again....What a job  cmon yeah  Decide after lengthy discussions that i will go for the astra i saw today.... woo. Leave at 11 and drive home. Again quiet road so is quite good.

2320- Get home and tell my dad I am gonna buy the astra we saw, and he says "no your not, we've decided we're gonna buy another car...." For a second i was like  shocking  but then he said "....and give you our Astra". and i was even more  shocking shocking but then i went  cmon yeah yay dance jump Very Happy kicking lol notworthy because this astra is my 1.8 sports coupe that looks like the pic below......   OH MY GOD WHAT A RESULT! A 1.8 instead of a 1.4 and a sports car instead of a five door family car! YUS!

Technically it's a family shared car, parents are buyign a Vauxhall Zafira MPV and I am getting insured on that as well so I will drive both cars when needed. But Effectively the Car below will be mine. I have to contribute now towards the cars with what i have called "digs" as I don't pay any as it is (what nice parents). And my dad has agreed that when i leave home, the astra will be put into my name there and then. But yeah, it;s mine  cmon yeah Very Happy

Anyway..... erm what else. Watched the news a little bit, and that was about it. Watching some rubbish film right now i have seen before and chatting to Amy as has become a worrying habit these days, eh sweetie Wink  hug
