I've been told by several interviewers that perfectionist is a nightmare answer to give. Cliched and overused, and it isn't really a negative quality either.

Listing generic qualities to introduce your CV tends to be a bad idea, it's a pretty bland and easy way out since any twerp can claim they're ambitions and it does sound a bit like a dating website. I had it on my CV until it got ripped by someone I know who carries out interviews.  Maybe you can think along the lines of why you have a particular interest in the line of work you're applying for and that your experience will make you flexible etc, just my opinion. Smile

Also - workaholic for negative quality? Work–life balance and all that.

With perfectionist it's all about how you frame it - if you use it you have to make it personal and back it up with an example. i've used it in interviews before and been offered the job.

Well I've been asked to describe myself by an agency who then pass on my details to clients so I think its worth a shot, it's only a sentence. My profile is three lines long outlining my favourite aspects of accounts, my qualities and my desire to continue in education. My cv is 4 pages long so I need something short and sweet to get them to see if Im exactly what they are looking for.

Quakers my son got his job through an agency. We live in Fife, he had three interviews, one at the agency, the other in Dunfermline and the third in Edinburgh. He has a descent Job. He works for Lloyds TSB so there are some good jobs out there. Keep trying you will get something eventually.

Sorry always seem to get your name wron HONESTLY I DON'T MEAN IT. Jamie my son works for Lloyds TSB in Rosyth he got his job through the Search agency in Dunfermline. He was unemployed for two years after he finnished his degree at uni. He even went to Wales but was only getting crap jobs with crap pay.
Really hope you find something soon Amy I know it can be soul destroying but keep trying. All the best.

He went because he had friends there and thought it might be easier to get a good job. He met a lot of people because they play the game Warcraft. He made lot of friends and they were all in the same guild.
He has a friend from Holland who visits often, it is a good way to make new friends and find out how other people live.

So I managed to get super glue all over my hands, so used some turps and and old rag to try and get it off which did a reasonable job. However I then stupidly chucked the rag in the wash without realising the smell would get on everything, and now the clothes, and more worryingly the washing machine stink of turps! Any idea how I can get the smell out of the machine? Seen a few ideas online such as putting in baking soda and white vinegar with nothing in the machine on the hottest setting. Anyone done this before? It's not my machine so I don't want everyone else to have the smell all over their clothes too!

I would say baking powder and white vinegar-my brother did something similar not long ago and we had the same problem. Out came my mothers trusty book on a 1001 uses for vinegar and it worked!

Sorry soda Smile I think it went into the soap drawer so that it mixed properly when it filled. Don't have a clue of amounts though.
