Happy, actually.
Just got my first rejection letter! From Brandeis University! And they can clearly go **** themselves because my credentials are above their average applicant.
I just wish I hadn't spent money sending my financial aid shit two weeks ago.

Your FB status just popped up but wasnt sure whether it was
or
! Since it's in Boston right?
Various emails are teasing me with study abroad opportunities for next year... reminds me of applying for uni the very first time. Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is extremely tempting... Glasgow allocates places for it but I don't know how many or what the competition is like! Its' school of Econometrics is allegedly one of the best worldwide so I assume mahoosive!

Nope, it's not in Boston. It's about 15 minutes outside of Boston.
Would applying hurt/cost you anything? I'm sure it's worth a try.

Who are you waiting to hear from?
They do it bloody weird in Spain - payment is based on course credits but I worked it out to be around 960 euros which is like nothing compared to what the Scots are ripping me off now.
Duuuuuuuuuuuuude! Madrid!!!! I should so not be excited about this right now, I don't even know if the application deadline has gone!

Cannot BELIEVE how much fees are going up in the next few years in the UK. Extremely grateful to have got in a year before the first round of raises.

Julia, get on that! I cannot tell you how excited I am to study abroad...no matter where I go!
I am waiting to hear back from Suffolk's financial aid office, basically. Acceptance-wise, I still have to hear back from University of Vermont (Brr), Northeastern University, Boston University, American University, and George Washington University. Basically all the schools that are awesome but cost an arm and a leg.

Holy f**k... you get to apply to all the unis you want ahh, too far! Boston all the way eh!
You really want to do it? There's a lot of things to consider, firstly double the workload as you work for your domestic and foreign uni and sometimes your work done there doesn't count towards your degree meaning your last year carries much more weight. I also don't think any unis outside the UK and Australia offer Joint Honours programmes which is bizarre...
Also I haven't discussed it properly with Andrew yet.

Uhm, no? I only take classes at my study abroad uni, wherever that will be. So it's not double the workload. We also have advisors here that will tell me which classes the university here will accept from the study abroad one.
What's the boy toy got to do with it anyway?
PS, I feel like we should make an education thread...
