A bit nervous. Work experience for two whole weeks. I'm doing it within college because of my state mentally (with the anxiety), but still worrying a bit. I suppose its only natural.
So now that your first day is presumably over, please can you tell us how you got on? I had to do a week's work experience when I was at secretarial college, but although it was done in the college itself I was still nervous to begin with, which is perfectly natural, then began to relax and quite enjoyed it.

Went well. Will feel better when the first week is done. Only 4 more days.

Thanks Connor. I'm glad things were OK, and I've no doubt that you will feel better by next week, if not before then. Just remember that the other students will be feeling nervous as well wherever they're having their work experience. In fact it would be a strange person indeed who didn't feel like that.

Just keep going Prod because if you don't you might not know what you've missed. Good luck!

Ecstatic made my online journalistic debut tonight with an article for a Doctor Who site that gets thousands of views a day. Can't wait to see the response it gets.

A very nice tribute to the late Sir Terry, Connor - although I admit to knowing nothing about his books, mainly because that subject doesn't interest me. He was an amazing person though and an inspiration to everyone. Hope you get a lot of positive responses.

While I recognise his writing talent, I tried to read him about twenty years ago, but gave up through boredom, I'm afraid. Mind you I'm like that with lots of big-name writers.

Very well written Connor! Your journalistic talent is flourishing! I'm afraid I've never really gotten into reading sci-fi, but I'll bet my brother in law has read them all!

Finally, I decided to hit the gym today. And my legs hurt. Really, really hurt.
I'm not sure if I'll go again tomorrow .

Well you must know the old adage - if you feel stiff after exercise, the best cure is to do it all over again!

Sabine, when Andy plays a tough 5 setter, even his ice baths and his physios, couldn't prepare him to play another the following day! That's why they have a rest day between matches during slams! Andy would tell you to rest up for a couple of days or till your legs feel better and then 'don't go at it so hard' next time! With exercise, you have to build up gradually!

Well, after reading the posts here, I went to the gym today. It was just for 30 minutes and I found it slightly difficult but quite pleased I pushed myself a little. I'm not very used to the workouts but I'm working on it.
