Only one step up from gruesome.

Went for an out-patient procedure yesterday morning which involved "sedation".  Three shots later, I'm as high as a kite and being scraped off the ceiling.  Procedure abandoned, patient flees hospital.  Beware of "sedation" !!  Mamoth hangover ever since.
That must have been a horrible experience - have you recovered yet. Had a procedure with sedation myself three years or so ago - went smoothly and no bad effects, just blotted out the unpleasant bit, sorry yours went wrong.

Yes thank you - I've perked up a bit more; still have a very jaded feeling which wouldn't be so bad if I had been out on the tiles !

A bit strange, sad but.. Today we took my sister's ashes to a beautiful place overlooking wide moorland scenery and scattered then with a few loving words.  She had been in a vegetative state for about 6 years as an early Alzheimers' sufferer, so her funeral a couple of weeks ago and today were something of a relief to those who loved her. We were such good friends and I have missed her so much but the happy memories remain. Her lovely husband and son were with us and now they can move on from these sad times. From the spot where we scattered she and her husband watched the eclipse darkness come over the moor -a very special place.

It's a blessing and she will live on in your mind.

Sorry to hear about that Jan hug It is always strange to say goodbye to someone who you started mourning for before they passed away...  Sounds like a beautiful day in a very special place.

Yes - it was - my sister an I had some beautiful days out on Dartmoor together before her illness took a turn for the worse so it is a very special place for many reasons. Positive ones too despite the sadness.

She's been doing that for all the years covered by her illness - I'm very lucky to have such memories of her and also the happy childhood we sepnt together - not everyone has that.
