Same here Elly get well soon and don't get too excited watching Andy. Play is stopped because of rain see Troicki has slipped and injured his left shoulder ?
Was just getting into it. Yeah - seemed like Troicki got a bit of a fright, initially, but didn't seem so bad once he started moving it again.
Hey - loving the sound of your water feature. Find the sound of running water very soothing as well.
Players coming out again...

Nice to see you back Elly and in good humour too!
It must be an enormous weight off your shoulders! Just make sure you follow the doc's orders and don't do too much too soon, no matter how good you think you feel!

I know someone who has had radiotherapy. I don't have any tips because I've never had it, but I'm going to hold back on telling you a few things I observed with the person I know myself because its unnerving.

I wish you'd kept that to yourself. However - I'm not your average person!

A neighbour of mine about 10 years ago had radiotherapy every day for, I think, about 6 weeks. She said it only took a couple of minutes and she drove for 2 hours there and back. Stay positive, Elly.

I will. I'm just being a moan, but still trying to get my head around it. It's insane how you can go from being healthy one week, and then you just can't get your head around what is happening to you - Nuts!

Sometimes moaning helps!!! A brave face is all very well but it's good to be honest about how you feel.

Thank God I have no direct experience - but I've known some people with brilliant attitudes to it. They tend to be people that accept what life throws at them and make the best of it. One old neighbour used to go into each session chanting " Here we go, here we go, here we go! "

I'm shitting myself, if the truth be told. It's never good when you have a MacMillsn nurse sitting in your consultation. It just sort of confirms that you have Cancer, and it may not go away. However - I'm not done yet - not by a long chalk. Thanks, ILA - I know we've often not seen eye to eye, but I appreciate your input.

I pray you never do have any direct experience. It's so weird. I always thought of myself as a gutsy and positive person. Right now, I just want to run and hide. Very bizarre...

Hi Elly had radiotherapy 18 months ago after 6 lots of chemo , honestly it's not bad just 2mins everyday , I had it for 3weeks , my skin was fine just a little red , I put aloe Vera on . It didn't make me feel ill , just a little tired . As long as it kills those pesky cells !!! If you won't a chat PM me . Stay strong Elly x

Gosh - you guys are an inspiration. It's scary shit, but really helps to know others have weathered the storm. I'm guessing I'm pretty lucky when push comes to shove. You know what it's like - just getting your head around it takes a bit of time. Thanks very much for the the support.

Same here Fiverings, and like you I've known people who have gone through it, and a positive attitude definitely helps. Also as @deb says radiotherapy is not as unpleasant as it once was. My cousin's husband had it five years ago when he was diagnosed with lung cancer and his experience was the same as deb's.

Not bizarre at all because how you feel seems a perfectly normal reaction to me. And if you feel like having a good moan at any time, then just let it out on here because MW has to be one of the most supportive places around, something I've found out myself.

My mum had radiotherapy- successfully. She found it a drag having to go everyday but other than that not in any way unpleasant. She and my dad often went for lunch before/after depending on the timings. Rooting for you!
