Hope you feel better for work
Wrap yourself up and keep yourself dosed up
I was popping pills every 2 seconds
I would hug you back but I don't think you need my germs
Hows the back?

Hmm lets not start taking about viruses, Mark might freak
Ugh crap, still signed off and now totally dosed as highly as the doctor can make me on these medications and still sore
and the only step up is morphine
However, I'll get there...wherever there is
eventually. Just trying not to freak and stress about the future just now as that won't help
Also got a orthopaedics appointment in 2 weeks, so we'll see what happens then

Yep still getting physio, actually seeing her tomorrow
But there's only so much she can do. the muscle pain does seem to be very much a result of the constant nerve pain so we work on loosening my muscles and then the nerve pain tightens it up again
Yeah that's the thing...my doctor has warned me that unless ortho can do surgery they're not that interested
So we'll see, doctor wants at least an MRI out of it, more to rule things out more than anything else. Not sure where they go after that, maybe pain management but their operating at about a year from referral to first appointment at the moment

MRI's are fun....to watch, don't really fancy having to lay there for about 7minutes in a big donut but at least they are doing something productive and an MRI isn't cheap so the don't hand them out willy nilly.
Yeah the NHS is a little shocking at the minute with all the budget cuts and it sucks major ass for everyone

Yeah my chief worry is that they turn around and just tell me to deal with it. I did 2 hours of chatting to parents/childminders and playing with kids at toddlers this morning and was completely wiped after
I can't keep a thought in my head for more than a few minutes and am really forgetful...but need the meds or I'd actually pass out from pain. So physically and mentally can't work so can't end up left in this state, just being told to stay on meds
^This is my big worry and I'm terrified of it becoming reality, so bit
at the moment over it

They can't just leave you when the meds aren't really having the desired effect. Though, they can become quite addictive so slowly weening you off

Oh yeah, missed about 2/3 doses one day because I went out and didn't take them with me...was physically sick by the end of it
probably partially pain as well. Last time I felt crappy when they brought me off the tramadol, and that was a smaller dose and I've fot the others as well
Yeah they got me on full dose of Gabapentin now
1800mg a day
Ah well

Giving up on the Police thing?
Temporarily yes, because recruitment is mostly frozen across the country, probably for 2 or 3 years. Will reconsider after that and see where I am at with this other job. If I can continue moving up, might be silly by then to pack it in. But then again, I might get bored and want to do something different. Time will tell
And thanks all. woop woop.

Yeah I guess if you keep moving up in the world you might not wanna change. But something I learned when studying my second choice of career in was "always go with your instinct" which now I'm thinking ... personally, might not be the career I've been doing the past few years. I'm going backwards to what I wanted to do when I was 16, ish.
Now I'm working towards two careers and hope my first choice takes off to see if it will be as good as I've dreamed it to be.

When does college start already? I need a new set of friends - ones who have the decency to let people know about cancellation of plans beforehand.

You cancelled on wedding chats, Hazel?
I kid.
It's okay, I guess. I did want to go see that movie, I'll just go next weekend when I'm feeling better and can sneak in as much candy as possible into the cinema.
