Hey Tommy, I'm really sorry I've only just read this post. Forget the Zovirax and buy a fresh lemon. Cold sores are caused by a virus.......nothing to do with winter........you can get them in summer too. Two things will kill the virus.......lemon juice or ice. Zovirax works, but kills the healthy skin too. Lemon juice kills it stone dead....instantly. If you can catch it before it breaks out, [when you feel the tingle], so much the better,but, if it breaks out, then no matter. Cut a slice of lemon, squeeze some juice into the palm of your hand, then, using a finger dab it on the sore. It does sting but only a little. Leave the lemon on a plate and put more on every time you think of it. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly after each treatment. The virus is very contagious and can attack 'any' part of your body. If you share a house, don't share a towel. If you haven't got a lemon, you can use an ice cube......almost as good but messier.

Ugh just fed up Shrug Hate having no answers and not knowing where I'm going next or how Smile Also going to be at least another 6 weeks before I hit the top of the physio waiting list and then probably a couple of weeks till I get an appointment. That will take me up to the year mark of this whole thing which is uber depressing Smile Apart from that all is well lol

Really need to stop whining before I get told off by the 'we pay taxes so you can be lazy' brigade come along Smile

Didn't do anything to it just went (again) This time round it started in April. I've had similar pain before but never this bad or this long Think
